Chefman 2 Speed 200 Watt Hand Blender with Stainless Steel Blade

LOVE IT
I recently saw this hand blender at my local Target for $20.00. I ended up purchasing it on amazon because it was $14.95. It is extremely rare to find a detachable hand blender for under $20.00. It is is important because it allows you to place the Blade straight into the dishwasher and Walahh it's clean!! The motor is 200 watts which is allot of wattage for the price. This blender is more than adequate for doing what a hand blender is supposed to do. One other reviewer mentioned that the hand blender didn't do a good job crushing ice.... Get an ice crusher, hand blenders arent supposed to be crushing ice!!

This is an all around great looking unit at a great price. You can't go wrong with this hand blender. I highly recommend this Chefman hand blender.

Sometimes you get only what you paid for
I purchased this to replace another handheld blender that has been making breakfast shake from a grapefruit almost every morning for the last year.
When I took it out of the box, I was a little disappointed to hear a rattle in the mixer part... further shaking caused a small c-clip to fall out... perhaps it shipped with spare part?

After less than 30 uses, the power switch's high setting is broken, and the motor is starting to whine, and seems to be losing power, which was underrated to begin with, compared to the other blender, which was also rated at 200w.

Very good Powerful & Easy to wash
It's convenient, powerful, easy to wash, It's very easy to use. Compared to a big blender, it is also powerful. Highly recommend.

Boxxle 3L Box Wine Dispenser

Wine Despenser Handsome but Somewhat Difficult to Load
Although the dispenser is more attractive than a "box," loading the plastic sack into the dispenser is not an easy operation. With one box of wine I had to empty almost 6 oz. into a glass before I could get the spigot to fit in the designated slot. Another brand of wine was a tight fit which was achieved only after I rotated the spigot. This solution was not included in the directions. I suggest a slightly higher clearance within the dispenser would help.

Surprisingly Wonderful
Very simple construction but well made. It's does what it is supposed to without unnecessary bells and whistles. Looks nice on the counter. Effectively squeezes very drop from the bag. I've bought 2 (one for myself and one as a gift). Would buy more as gifts if about $25 less. But I would recommend buying one for yourself.

Good idea
I like black box wines, but not neccessarily like looking it the box on the counter. this works great, and would recommend it

SentrySafe X075 Security Safe, 0.7 Cubic Feet, Black

Prevents opportunistic theft and keeps things from prying eyes.
This safe is intented to prevent OPPORTUNISTIC theft. In other words, it secures things that are laying around that could easily be picked up. However, it would be quite easy for someone to carry the whole safe away even if it was bolted down. However, the thieves would need the right tools and time to work on it!

This is a type of safe that gives some measure of protection from fire. You may have to go to Sentry's website to find out just how much. Given it's dimensions it would be about the perfect size for a fairly large gun kept by the bedside, a larger flashlight, etc.

This product can also fit some laptops inside. However, safes often build up moisture and there are specific types available for storing computer media. With that said, you can always pick up a dessicant material that will dry the air inside. For short-term storage, maybe a few hours up to a few days, it's probably fine. If you are thinking in terms of long-term storage of a laptop, I...

Cheap and damaged
Received this safe last week from Amazon. First the corner was bent in and a piece of plastic inside was broken. The safe is made of very thin metal, and the included attachments are useless. The holes in the back of the safe are too large for the attachment screws and washers included with the safe. The hole spacing doesn't conform with 16" centers for stable wall attachment. I did not return it since it would cost more to box it up and explain all this to someone. It is usable and the digital lock is OK and it's use is straight forward. I think I would look somewhere else (another brand) if I were to reorder a safe.

Beware!! Photo misrepresents door opening dimensions
I chose this safe specifically because the photo shows the inside dimensions of the door to be over 16 inches.

I received it today, in perfect condition....

Except the door opening is only 14 7/8 inches!

So my 15 1/4 wide laptop can't fit inside.

Soleus Air 10" High Velocity Wall Mount/Table Fan

Very quiet, including a very quiet timer
This fan is whisper quiet, even at the highest speed. The tilt function is useful -- it tilts at a 45-degree angle, so it's necessary to reposition the entire fan as to direction once you have it tilted to aim it where you want the air to go.

The rotating grille, at first, looks symmetrical. On closer inspection, each successive louver changes angle as they move around the circle of the grille. Thus, when you turn the grille rotation feature on, the air sweeps in a wide conical pattern as it moves away from the fan. If you want the air to go in a particular direction, you can leave the grille rotation switch in the off position and rotate the grille by hand until the air is blowing in the direction you want.

I actually use the two-hour timer feature a lot. The exhaust fan in my bathroom is ineffective, so when I shower, I leave the door open and have a fan blowing into the bathroom so that moisture doesn't cling to the walls and cause mildew. After the...

A wonderful fan!
I'm very puzzeled by another poster's comments about the "ticking timer". With the timer dial turned fully counter-clockwise (marked 'ON', meaning constant running/no timer), the spring in the mechanical timer runs out of steam after maybe 15 minutes and the fan is one of the quietest I've ever had.

I originally bought this fan because of the wall-mounting feature, which I needed to equalize the air conditioning in my home. I planned to mount it in a doorway. Before I had time to hang it, I stuck it on top of the TV at the foot of my bed and it hasn't moved since!!! The rotating grill gives a nice, gentle, cool breeze every 30-45 seconds. Love it!

I could do without all the plastic, but this fan did hard time last summer and hasn't let me down this season. It needs a serious vacuuming, frankly.

Other fans from this manufacturer appear kinda cheezy, but the FTY-25 is a winner.

Bought a couple of these
Lets get the obvious out of the way, this is a really nice looking little fan. Especially for the price. It also can be used as a conversation piece since some people haven't seen the oscillating fans like this one that don't actually move, except for the inner circle.

So far so good. The timer works, but I've only used it one time, mainly to see if it works.

Now for some bad news. I bought a total of 3 of these. One for a bedroom, one for my office and one for our kitchen.

I bought these all around 12-14 months ago. As of right now, 1 still works, the other two won't even turn on. For more bad news, the inner circle that oscillates can and will become noisy after awhile. It is kind of a rattling/loose piece sound.

Another frustrating part about the design is that the on/off switch is on the right side. I have the one that works beside my bed, which is on the left side of the fan, and there is no way I can reverse the bed just to work with...

Yonanas 986 Elite Healthy Dessert Maker, Red

GREAT appliance
We first tried the smaller $50.00 Yonana machine at a friend's house. Amazing results, but noisy.

Decided to buy the red larger unit. For some unexplained reason, it costs $10.00 more if you buy the black one. That seems crazy.

The larger Elite unit is much quieter and works flawlessly. The larger motor powers through the frozen fruits better and will probably last a lot longer, especially with heavy use. And there WILL be heavy use. There is a 3 yr factory warranty. Why buy the 2 year warranty that is sometimes suggested by Amazon? That seems like a waste.

One reviewer said he returned it because some product stayed in the grinder head. Well, it takes all of ten seconds to rotate off the grinder head, scrape out the bits left behind and add them to the rest of the mix. That is NOT a reason not to buy it. You have to do this anyway to clean it out. Washing it out takes only another minute or so with hot water and detergent. Then you can put it back...

Makes a good, healthy desert
It feels good to eat "Ice Cream" without all the preservatives, coloring and sugar that is in the store bought ice cream. Not only is it good for you, you only need half as much of Yonana Cream as you need of the store bought stuff.

Great Machine, Wonderful heathy deserts
Great machine!
Much more power than the original.
Bought a few of these for friends, gave the original Yonanas for Christmas gifts last year.
Wonderful heathy deserts!

Great Northern Popcorn Commercial Quality Cotton Candy Machine and Electric Candy Floss Maker with Cart

So far, so very good!
Before I go on about how "great!" this machine is, let me just give you a heads up on checking the condition of your package and the contents (EVEN IF the package is in good condition). The package arrived in perfect condition. As I got home and began putting it together I noticed the front legs were uneven. Upon further inspection I found that the Vortex itself looked as if it had been dropped and smushed in the corner about a 1/4 inch. This caused the uneven legs. Everything has since been replaced and tonight I made my first batch. DELICIOUS!!!

Now on to the praise...

The Vortex is my first cotton candy machine and I think it is MAGNIFICENT!! This thing is an eye-catcher. It is very sturdy, wonderfully crafted, and the colors POP! The motor runs smoothly (I thought it would be loud but it's not), it's easy to carry and maneuver, and cranks out floss at a speed I wasn't ready for. I will be definitely working on my cone spinning technique. A nicely spun cone is...

love this
I love my cotton candy machine, it works great in high volume places. the only thing is when I got it I noticed the belts were inside out. once I fixed that it worked great..

Great birthday party addition
I have three small children who all have summer birthdays. I figured that a cotton candy machine would make a great addition to their parties. It's been a hit so far and was very easy to use. It heats up in minutes and only takes a few seconds to make each cone.

As far as assembly, the holes didn't all line up quite right but I didn't have much trouble putting it together...and I tend to have trouble putting anything together. My item arrived in excellent shape with no dings, dents, or missing pieces. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.

Once piece of advice I have, though, is to get the plastic dome (which has to be purchased separately). It keeps the spinning floss inside the unit. Otherwise, I think you'd have a lot of cotton candy all over the floor!

Atrix VACBP1 Hepa Backpack Vacuum

Vacuuming made easy
This is the best vacuum I have ever owned or used. I would give it five stars, but I see room for improvement. I would like the fit of the straps to have a place where they connect at the sternum (already has a solid belt for around the waist). This would distribute the weight a little better and keep it from moving on my back. Also, the cord could be longer. It is in just the right spot where I unplug it a lot if I'm bending and turning at the same time. I would also like a better carpet attachment. Though this may sound like a lot I would change, it's nothing. The suction on this vacuum is so intense that it sticks to the floors when I'm vacuuming the hardwoods! I sincerely think my home has never been cleaner and being able to walk around without having to constantly change settings, make adjustments, turn off to lift and move has cut my vacuuming time in half, maybe less. It is super easy to move furniture around to vacuum under and behind because I can just let go of the hose &...

Pretty good
I really like this concept, a vacuum that I can wear that doesn't drag behind me and bang into furniture. I can defiantly cover more ground much easier than with a regular vacuum. This vacuum is a little bit cheaply made but so far after several months of use, no problems except one little brush has all the hairs collapsed into the intake so it's not really usable. Also the backpack straps suddenly come out of their buckle once in a while-awkward. I usually use it with a floor brush I got from a different vacuum because it's a little more heavy duty. I love this for my tile floors. I still use my old upright on the carpets as this doesn't really have enough suction to do a good job on the carpet. I would recommend this over a canister vac for ease of use on any hard floor, I like that it is reasonably light weight but would prefer higher quality parts.

OMG this is nice!
I was so tired of lugging that big upright vacuum up & down the stairs. Now since I purchased this super powerful Bak-Pak, I plug into one spot and vacuum my entire house with extreme ease. Even with arthritis, this vac is so much easier on my back and has amazing suction too.

Fits perfect... why pay more
This bag fit my Eureka just perfect. The unit is even picking up a lot better than it was before. I also bought the hepa filter along w/ this and so Im sure that helped the unit out as well.

Great Value
This is one of the best values I've found in this department The price here even beat the price of Walmart!

they work!
This item is what it says it is. Works just like the name brand. Arrived quickly. Works great. No complaints. I would recommend.

Not good
2 weeks installed and it already broke. Very disappointing. I would not order again, poor quality. Save your money rather that to waste it.

Good Item!
Also good that there are 2 in the package. I discovered that the beater bar would not turn freely when I put on the new belt. By the time i analyzed the situation, the new belt had worn almost through. Probably the reason the first belt failed. My suggestion is to inspect the beater bar to make sure that it spins freely without the belt in place. If not, the bearings might need cleaning with all the hair and fibers building up. Or just order the kit with the belt and bar together!

Easy Installation
I'm not sure what else to say about these plastic replacement belts except they appear to be more durable and stronger than the rubber belt that came with the vacuum cleaner as OEM. I timed it - it took me 9 minutes to replace the belt, and 6 of those minutes was the time I spent walking back and forth to the garage to get my screwsdriver, unscrewing the bottom frame and screwing it back together.

Also, note you get two belts with your order but you only have to replace one - you have an extra for when you inevitably have to replace it again.

Senseo 7810 Single-Serve Gourmet Coffee Machine, Black

Excellent Product
We have this machine, bought in 2004 and used 2-3 times a day. It still works fine, but it's white and we wanted a black one to match our new kitchen appliances. So the old one goes into storage in case the new one breaks down.

There are a lot of so-called "single-serving" coffee makers on the market today. My wife and I have been very select coffee drinkers all our marriage - nearly 30 years. We started with a beautiful La Pavoni expresso maker, which we still have although we had it completely overhauled about 8 years ago.

When we saw the Senseo we thought we'd try it because it seemed much less trouble - although we were highly suspicious of anything that made coffee from "pods" because we were used to grinding our own coffee from beans stored in air-tight containers in the freezer and each cup of coffee we made was made from freshly ground beans.

From the very beginning we were impressed with the Senseo. Push a button and 90 seconds later the water...

Convenient & fun
I received the Senseo coffee maker as a birthday gift 2 years ago and use it almost daily. I'm the only coffee drinker in the house and hate to waste a full pot of coffee if all I want is one or two cups. Making coffee with a Melitta one-cup filter is just too much work compared to the simplicity of the Senseo coffee maker.

The Senseo coffee maker has a reservoir that is easy to fill, and the pods are very convenient to just drop into the pod holder. Two tips I picked up from a single-serve review web site:

1: Pre-moisten the coffee pod so that the edges seal better to the holder, and

2: Preheat your milk so that the milk doesn't cool the coffee when it pours into your cup. I preheat my milk for 30 seconds in the microwave, easy to do while the water is warming up.

I like being able to make a quick double for my travel mug when I'm running late--much faster than driving to Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks and not knowing how long the line will...

Great for espresso, design problems with coffee, compare with Keurig
For the most part I love the coffee that comes out of my Senseo. Unfortunately there's too little of it.

Before you start railing against over-sized everything, look at your coffee cup. I bet it's a 12 ounce cup, or at least a 10. A 4 oz cup is an espresso cup, tiny, great for espresso, too small for coffee.

So, it takes 2 pods to brew an 8oz cup. I've lived in Japan, and it'd be perfect for the way they drink coffee, but not the way people seem to drink it in the states. Mug in the morning to get going, mug mid day to keep going. Two "cups" of coffee would mean using six senseo pods in a day, every day.

The coffee is delicious, rich, soft... yes its crema. Very yummy. But it costs roughly 40 cents per 8oz, depending on which pods you buy and where.

My buddy gave me his Senseo machine because it was impractical to fill a travel mug with it, and it only filled his coffee mugs (12oz) 2/3 with the 8oz max pour (yes, you could do multiple runs,...

Chef's Choice 685 International Deluxe Cordless Electric Teakettle

Excellent design
I had one of these for almost six years and used it on a daily basis (not just for making tea, but also for boiling water quickly for other uses, i.e. food preparation). It always looked great and was a pleasure to use, but one day it stopped working. So I went online and looked at all of the kettles currently available. I thought about trying a different brand, but all of the other stainless steel kettles (I wasn't interested in plastic) had something I didn't like about them -- an awkwardly placed handle, an exposed element, etc. In the Chef's Choice kettle the element is hidden, so the interior of the kettle is easy to clean (it pretty much doesn't have to be cleaned at all, since only water is ever put in the kettle), and if the element gets covered in scale, I don't know about it (Chef's Choice does recommend occasionally "decalcifying" the kettle by boiling some white vinegar in it -- I never did this with my first kettle and I wonder if this eventually led to it...

This is my favorite kitchen appliance
Like another reviewer here, this is my second Chef's Choice electric teakettle. My first one, purchased at Williams-Sonoma in the mid-1990s, suddenly stopped working after my neighbors borrowed it (hummm...). As do all items purchased there, it had a lifetime warrenty, so I took it back and was given the brand of electric tea kettle they were selling at the time. I did _not_ like it, especially the placement of the handle, and promptly returned it. This was 2003 and Amazon was now carrying the brand so I ordered it here after being unable to find an electric tea kettle with a comfortably placed handle or adequate capacity in any local stores.

I use mine a minimum of twice, more commonly three times a day and am very, very happy with it. As mentioned in other reviews, having the actual heating elements under a solid bottom of stainless steel definitely prolongs the life of the appliance--the heating elements do not get caked with minerals. The best part for me, however, is...

outstanding
An electric kettle seemingly wouldn't wear out, but that is exactly what happened to our previous one after only one year of use. This one has already beaten that. Additionally, it holds the water at a boil for a bit of time, rather than shutting off as soon as the boil is reached. This means that the water stays hotter in the kettle.

Thermos 33105A 17 Oz. Vacuum Bottle Assorted colors

Plastic liner inside
I bought this product to avoid metallic or plastic after taste. Nowhere in the description does it mention the plastic liner inside, that comes in direct contact with the food. I wanted a glass interior but it's not what this product offers.

Thermos hits a home-run with this one --
Forty years ago, glass Thermos bottles were the norm, and sadly, they've all but disappeared. Nothing, but nothing, can touch the thermal performance of a Thermos-brand glass vacuum flask (the technical term) -- so good we can store liquid nitrogen in them! It's time for a comeback. If you want your favorite hot beverage to be good all day -- really -- buy this Thermos. If treated with just a little care, it'll last plenty long.

love this thermos
This thermos does the job...forgot to drink my tea one day at work and opened the thermos the next morning...it was still hot!
The only downside is the mouth of the thermos is kinda small for chunky soups and it's glass lined. I've broken one so far but for the amount of hot soups and drinks I've carried in them...I can live with that.

Dual Zone Wine Cellar - WC29

A really terrific wine cooler
Dual zone Wine Cellar - KWD28SN
This is a really terrific wine cooler plus was delivered before I hit Send to buy it. We have had it for four months and it works very well. The only flaw is that the temps at which the two compartments are set are a few degrees different than the ones that display on the thermometer we bought. However, this doesn't matter as once you learn the temps to set the compartments at to achieve the temps you want, they remain consistent. I suggest waiting for a couple of days before fine turning the temperatures so the thermostatic system can relax after its long journey to your home.
I did an exhaustive search to find a good cooler. Due to the nature of the mass of reviews I read on several websites, this was the only one deemed worth trying.

Perfect fit
After looking at many different wine cellar coolers, this one was the perfect fit for the space in my dining room. I read all the reviews on the cooler and was a little concerned with the noise and brightness that other people have stated. I got to tell ya, the noise is minimal (occasionally will hear the compressor hum) and as for the brightness, I don't even notice (interior lights, you can turn on and off). I can fit all my reds, whites, champagnes (even with long necks thanks to the basket in the bottom). My wife and I love it! I would recommend this cooler.

So far so amazing
I just received this for my birthday last week and so far it's working very well... I just moved from a place on the beach to more inland LA where the days get quite hot, so I knew it was time to do something to protect my wine. The capacity is perfect and the ability to store at two different temps is awesome (although I only have a bottle of champagne in the top compartment). The reviews seem accurate, which is probably true for the other fridges; all of which got horrible reviews. I'd never heard of this brand before, but I can vouch for it's solid construction and very attractive design. This seems like the wine fridge to buy!

Miele SET 220 Electric Telescope Wand

Improvement over original
This wand performs as expected. The electric cord seems to be better protected than with the wand that was originally supplied with my Meile Aquarius. The fittings are slightly tighter. I have to shove it firmly into the power brush.

I would like to go on and say that I would not purchase another Meile vacuum cleaner. For around $1,000 (I got the bigger power brush), I don't expect components like the wand to fail. And I have a loose electrical connection at the base of the hose. The motor may be durable, but I could go on and on about how the whole solution is half-baked in my humble opinion.

Replacement Miele Wand
Needed a replacement wand for our Miele vacuum. The online price was the same as the local price; however, the item arrived quicker than if I had placed the order locally. This is a Miele part, so fit and finish is a non-issue. The old wand lost the power connection that could not be repaired because of the pressure fitting used to keep the plastic pieces in place.

Quality product
I love my Miele vacuum. It's very well made and year after year is a pleasure to use. After 2 years, the clip on the bottom of the wand wore down, came loose, and when it came out, the wiring slid out. It was somewhat difficult to reassemble. It would clip back into place, but just barely. Then before long, it would come apart again. I was pretty unhappy that I had paid so much for the vacuum and the wand appeared so fragile. I broke down and bought a new wand. Quite expensive. I've waited to review it to see how it would hold up. It has been nearly a year and it doesn't appear the lower clip is wearing at all. Don't know what caused the early failure of the first one, but thinking it may have just been a fluke. The new one is fine.

Holmes HFH105 1500-Watt Portable Electric Space Heater

Hot, Hot, Hot!
I purchased this heater to warm my office at school...the nuns won't turn on the radiators until you can see your breath...inside the building! I have 13 foot ceilings in this office and it keeps it toasty. I've been very pleased with it's performance, especially since I paid only $9.95 for it! The fan feature comes in handy, as there is, of course, no air conditioning at school either! Great value, great product.

Holmes #HFH105 1500Watt Portable Heater
The product works as well as I expected it to, but it is a little louder than I had expected.

Not as good as the HFH104
These portable electric heaters are small in size but have given off ample heat when needed in a pinch in those early morning hours when trying to get kids out the door for school.

Since I was already familiar with the model HFH 104, that I sold over the summer on eBay, I figured the model HFH 105 would be similar. They both have the two heat settings of 1000 and 1500 watts and the power light plus a fan only setting. Also included in both models are the auto safety shut-off and the cord wrap.

The carry handle and cord wrap are easier to utilize in this model of the Holmes Portable Electric Heater, HFH 105. It is advised not to use an extension cord unless you absolutely have to, and with limited electrical outlets in the duplex we reside in I have to use extension cords through out the house. I have only utilized these heaters in the living room and for limited time in the morning and evening hours.

This is a compact design, but it resembles a flimsy...

SteamFast SF-142 Multi-Surface Steam Mop

Exceeded all my expectations!
It is my first steam mop. I have always been thinking, that nothing can be better that a good cotton mop to keep your floors clean. My house had carpets in every rook with exception of the kitchen and bathrooms, and it was not a big deal to clean the floors just on my knees. Then we had fire and and in our rebuilt house we have tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms and engineered wood floors everywhere else. Cleaning them all on my knees was out of question. I was using microfiber mops and "Bona" floor cleaner, but the floors have never looked good enough and did not feel clean, not mentioning sanitizing.
I have been shopping for steam mop for a couple of months. I was reading reviews and comparing products. I even found a review with comparison of several steam mops and their steam temperatures, but could not make my mind. I came across Steam Fast Multi Surface Steam Mop by Vornado for $29.00 + free shipping. I decided to give it a try. For that price, even if it is a total...

Great steam mop, great price!
I had been researching steam mops trying to decide which to request as a gift from my husband and didn't really consider this one, since it didn't come up on Amazon's list of "highest rating." I knew I wanted a steam mop that was less than one hundred dollars, heated above 200F, and no pumping necessary. In my mind it was down to the Eureka Enviro and the Haan Slim and Light. I literally stumbled upon this model in a home improvement store while backing up to look at the Shark and Bissell, which I didn't really want, and it was under thirty bucks. I wasn't sure about buying it until I went home and looked up reviews of the SF-142 here on Amazon, and while there were very few, they were overwhelmingly positive. My husband picked it up for me the next day.

I put it together that night and tried it right away. It was very easy to assemble, and heated to steaming in just under 3 minutes. I used our drinking water that comes from a reverse osmosis tap. Normally I...

Love this machine!
I've used several steamers; this one is the best I've ever used. Very little installation, easy to use, and it cleans GREAT. Very, very happy with this steamer.

Rutland Grapho-Glas ® Gasket Replacement Kit-Cmt & 5/16"X7' Rope

adhesive
the adhesive is terrible, the gasket itself is okay. avoid putting it near your food until it has fully cured with a couple fires. you will have fiberglass hairs everywhere. it didnt work for my application. i tried to use it to seal the weber lid on my UDS smoker but did not work. probably more of my fault than anything else. but if you did use it i'd recommend the permatex high temperature copper gasket sealer...much better.

Not ideal for my smoker
The gasket material is fine, but the adhesive is sub-par. I cleaned and sanded the area around my smoker door and followed the directions to a tee. After about 4 months use, the gasket has come loose. I still have some high temp gasket sealer (Rutland Gasket Cement), and I will probably try to reapply soon.

Broan-NuTone VX3918STD 8-Gallon Bag Standard Filter Media Bags For VX550 and VX1000 Series, 3 Per Pack

Works well
Great substitue over the the original bags, but a little difficult to replace since the size is slightly off, which is to be expected from an after-market product.

Vacuum Replacement Bag
This is an outstanding product, it works well and is easy to use. I would highly recommend using this product.

Does not fit VX550
These bags do not fit my Nutone VX550 all house vac. I cut the cardboard collar down to fit but the bag does not reach the bottom of my container.

Conair GS60 Deluxe Compact Fabric Steamer

Pack your iron away!!
I got sick of ironing so I decided to buy this today at Bed, Bath & Beyond. At Bed, Bath & Beyond, you can use the 20% off coupon.

I looked online and compared products and this one seems to be the best buy for under $50. This one has 1200 watts compared to others which have 600 & 800 watts. My decision came down to this one and the Rowenta steam brush (800 watts & only 1-2/3 ounce water capacity). I decided on this one because I did not want to have to constantly refill the water tank.

It's the GS6 model for about $40. It does hold a lot of water and does produce about half an hour of steam.

I have been using this for almost 6 months and have to say that it is amazing. I use it to steam everything. It works faster on the softer fabrics (t-shirts, polos etc.) but it does work on the stiffer fabrics as well such as jeans and button-down dress shirts. I also use it to steam curtains and furniture. To learn how to steam, I just watched a few videos on...

great love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I steamed a weeks worth of laundry in under 30 minutes.
I burned my fingers a couple of times which was my fault.
I put clothes on hangers straight out of dryer then steam.
The steamer is very easy to set up & work.

I am planning on purchasing 2 more for my sister & mother.

Wow! Not perfect, but close
This sucker is AMAZING!!! Tons of constant steam, ran for about 20 minutes and used half the tank. It's amazing to watch the wrinkles literally dissappear. Works perfect on T-shirts, great on jeans, and haven't tried it on anything thicker. I would really give it 4.5 stars since it doesn't have a stand for the steam head (however there is something to hook to a door top), and there is no trigger to turn the steam on and off (I did burn myself twice so may want to wear a glove on the hand not holding the steam head, but in retrospect I've burnt myself several times ironing as well), so make sure to have clothes ready when using this. The one thing that pushes it over the edge is the price, heck you can't even buy a travel steamer for this cheap!

InSinkErator FLG-SSLG Deep Stainless Steel Sink Flange, Polished Stainless Steel

gotta have it for Rohl farmhouse sink
Was recommended for Shaw farmhouse sink and it does the job and looks good too! I do have a insinkerator garbage disposal too, otherwise you may have to find a different sink flange.

Just what the doctor ordered
I bought a new Farmhouse kitchen sink and new garbage disposal for our kitchen remodel. When the plumber tried to install the new Kitchenaid disposer he found that the flange that comes with the disposer isn't deep enough to hookup the disposer because the new sink is much thicker than a standard sink.
This flange fits the new sink perfectly.and it's much lower in cost than some of the other flanges on the market.
Great product and they shipped it really fast.

Whitehaus Farmhouse sink requires extended flange
Nowhere does it say you need and extended flange for your garbage disposal, but if you have a farmhouse sink, you will probably need it.

Whirlpool Dryer Motor 279787 3395654 8538263

Made in China - not like original
I bought this item for my Kenmore 90 series gas dryer. It was a decent price, but is now sold by another vendor for $49.95 on Amazon! This replacement motor is listed as a Whirlpool FSP part, but it differs significantly from the one replaced. It draws 6.2 amps not 5.7, is made in China, and has much thinner copper windings. It is significantly louder than the original motor, although not offensive.

Finally Got It Right !!!
This motor was shipped as a replacement for the first motor that was shipped which was not the correct part for my dryer.

This is my first and perhaps last bad experience with Amazon.com as I may well end up closing my Amazon account.

Partshouse shipped 279827 motor as a replacement for original 3395654 motor. The shafts were much too long to work so I contacted Partshouse.

A Partshouse employee indicated that this was the correct motor and that if I ordered another replacement I would receive the exact same motor. I was told that I could "shorten" the shafts and make it work.

Shortning the shafts would mean cutting both shafts off with a hacksaw which would remove the threads on both ends ruining the motor.

I finally received a reply from another Partshouse employee, perhaps the owner, who told me I was shipped the wrong motor and that 279787 motor number was the correct one.

I reordered a 279787 motor assuming the...

Dryer now works
My 13 year old Kenmore dryer started having trouble starting, then it started turning off after 30 mins of run time. I tried cleaning 13 years of lint out from the motor but that did not fix it so I decided a new motor is cheaper than a new dryer. First, the seller, Seneca River Trading, Inc., did a great job getting the motor to me in 3 days. I highly recommend. The motor is an overall good replacement but has some have mentioned here, there are a few differences. First, this is not an FSP part. It is not made in the USA but made in China. It does pull 6.2 amps versus the original pulls 5.9 amps (amps on label, I did not measure). 0.3 amps is very little difference and is probably due to small differences in the coil wiring. The motor fit with no issues. I did notice the motor comes wired to by-pass the belt break switch in the dryer. I am not a fan of by-passing safety switches so I wanted to wire the belt break sensor to the new motor. The blue wire connector on the...

Oster 6 Cup 7 Speed Reversing Motor Blender, 10.2" L X 8.6" W X 13.9" H (BVCB07-Z)

Love it!!
Works very well, Looks good on my Kitchen Countertop.

Comments useful for South Indian Women-
This blender is very good alternative to Indian mixers/Grinders like Sumeet for making Idli and Dosa Batter.
Reversible motor makes it easier avoiding the constant need to stir. Glass jar makes it very easy to wash.
Just remember to use "Food Chop" option at the beginning for few seconds you start making the Dosa-Idli batter

I used to hide my Indian grinders since they don't look good on Kitchen counter top. This one looks so cutee and goes very well with my other stainless steel gadgets. Really made my life easier and now my family is enjoying all sounth indian breakfast dishes more frequently.

Great For Ice-Blended Espresso!
I mainly use this blender for making ice-blended espresso drinks. The two extra blades and reversing motor help to prevent the trapped air pocket that can develop around the blades when blending frozen ingredients. This model even has a 'Frozen Drink' setting, which starts with a few reversed pulses then finishes with a high-speed spin to deliver a perfect frozen beverage.

Smoothies here we come!
This makes wonderful cold drinks...I even splurged and bought the separate metal milkshake container and blade...memorabilia of the old "soda fountain" days of my youth. Lots of power with icy fruits/cubes too.

Proctor Silex 59735 Immersion Hand Blender, White

Does the job! great price!
Ok .. I could have bought a Kitchenaid for a lot more money, that's the brand all my friends who have these recommended.

However, influenced by the price (12 bucks and change) and the reviews of other users, I bought this one. I'm not dissappointed at all! Works great!

So far I've used it to make smoothies and puree soups. In no time at all I had a nice smooth consistency for the smoothies and the soups took only a few minutes. Cleans up much easier than my standard blender, not to mention the time saved transferring things into the blender.

Also, I like that the guard portion surrounding the blade is not metal, I have a few enameled cast iron pieces of cookware that a metal guard would scratch.

You don't always have to pay top dollar to get something that performs well.

A lot of bang for your buck
I can't believe this hand blender is as inexpensive as it is. I've had mine for a year and it works perfectly. I've made cream of carrot soup with it, frostings, pudding, mashed potatoes, salsa and salad dressings. It has worked flawlessly for me. It's easy to use and cleaning it is a snap.

Amazing
This little blender works better than my regular blender. I use it to make protien shakes and I like to add some crushed ice. I was afraid it wasn't going to mix the ice and I was going to have chunks like I get with my big blender but this little gadget mixed everything. For the first time I got to enjoy a smooth frosty shake without having to chew it. Very happy with this product.

Hunter 26041 12-Inch Downrod, New Bronze

Perfect match
to the New Bronze Hunter fan I purchased. Have 10 foot ceilings so downrods are a must. What more can I say. Would buy again.

Not shafted
This 12" shaft was perfect. The threads were all there and good. Nice wrapping and just what we needed for our 70" Hunter Fan.

too long
I thought the 3 inch down rod would be too short for the fan, but was mistaken. The 3 inch rod worked well, returned this one.

BEM1043 Bemis Aftermarket Waterwick Humidifier Replacement Filter

great seller
Waterwick fit perfectly and was shipped fast. Only complaint is it was shipped in a bag and was crushed into my mailbox. Luckily it wasn't damaged just didn't like seeing it folded into my mailbox.

Healthier Air
My life has greatly improved since using this Bemis aftermarket humidifier filter. I encourage all of humanity to purchase one for their humidifiers. You will not regret it.

Less output
Been using this humidfier many years, still works great, decided to try an aftermarket wick (after using the OEM wick all those years) and save a few bucks.

While adequaten this wick only disperses about 50% of the water that the OEM wick did.

Next fall I'll go back to the OEM wick.

Shun 300/1000 Combination Whetstone

Good whetstone, however...
This is a fine whetstone, the fact that it has a Shun logo stamped on it is beside the point really as it has no bearing on the performance and I am relatively positive it is not made by KAI/Kershaw anyways.

The reason I detract one star is because you can not achieve a factory 'mirrorlike' edge with this whetstone. The fine side of the stone is 1000 grit, whereas you need at least a 3000 grit and probably more realistically a 5-6000 grit stone as well as very good technique to achieve a mirror like professional edge. That is not to say you cannot achieve a very sharp edge with 1000grit, you can, but it does have noticably more drag when cutting things like tomatoes and it will not stay sharp as long.

Shun does sell another combination stone which is 1000/3000 grit so I would probably choose that one over this one if I was only going to have one whetstone. I would say it is not that often that your knives will get dull enough to really need the 300 grit coarse...

Very Easy and Effective
I don't have a thousand dollar knife set, but I love to cook and all of my knives were quite dull. We tried a couple of the "sharpener systems" without a satisfying result. I remembered as a little girl seeing the old timers sharpen their pocket knives with a stone, so I did a little searching and found this one.

It arrived quickly and well packaged. The instructions are understandable enough, but clearly translated by a person whose native language is not English.

My husband spent about 1 hour and all my knives were good as new. First you soak the stone in water for about 5 minutes. Then you run the blade along the stone in the pattern indicated. There will be a bit of sand residue, so you will want to set it on something that washes well (dish towel). Also, it will stay wet for a long time. I had to wait 2 days to put it away.

Note, you will still need a knife steel to keep the blade nice.

If you Google "sharpening knives" you will...

Fantastic companion to my Shun collection
As a restaurant worker who has a rather large collection of shun knives, I purchased this whetstone because I was in the market to upgrade from an old oil stone to something a little easier to use. My oil stone was definitely showing signs of wear. So solely on the advice from a colleague who also uses shun knives, I ordered up.

I expected a good product based upon the shun name but this really exceded my expectations. It is a fantastic whetstone to have and to use for a couple of reasons. First, the price is reasonable (like are you kidding me?? a shun product for less than $100!?!). Secondly, my old stone didn't seem to have the best combination of grit - a coarse and a medium - whereas this shun stone has a coarse and a fine and believe it or not that fine grit really makes all the difference in the world between getting those shun knives back to their original razor edge as it will do for any knife. Thirdly, the ease of which this is done is amazing. With several...

Eureka 15' Universal Fit Flexible Extension Hose

Not impressed--far less than I expected
This Eureka 15' Universal Fit Flexible Extension Hose is not anywhere near 15 usable feet. Laid out on the floor it measures 7 ft. Maybe it stretches to 15 with two people pulling strongly, but it pulls over my canister vacuum at about the 6th step on a staircase. "Universal Fit" is simply silly. There are no adapters supplied, so any clips, bumps, nubbies etc. simply get in the way. It fits only a standard friction fit. The tiny photo is misleading since you cannot see where the vacuum cleaner hose ends and joins to this extension. Do I need three of them to do my staircase? The hose is too short. The hose does not fit all my accessories.

Every vacuum should come with one of these!
I didn't even know these hose extensions existed until I tore the hose that came with my Eureka Boss vacuum. I continued using it (by pinching the hole closed manually) until it ripped in a second place rendering the hose ineffective. I use the hose on my vacuum quite often and I put a lot of stress on it and I was ALWAYS frustrated by the paltry length when doing high up jobs and stairs. When looking for a longer replacement hose (doesn't exist) I stumbled across this item. I didn't buy it via Amazon and I have had it for a long time now. It is perfect for what I need it for. As mentioned by another reviewer, the hose is shorter than advertised - a bit over 10 feet total when I measured it. It is "elastic" in a sense but you would have to pull it tight to get any extra length out of it but that would require 2 people and a lot of effort so plan on about 10+ feet only. I personally don't care. This hose has improved my vacuuming experience immensely. I am able to attach the...

Not As Shown
I returned this item to Amazon for a refund. The hose is NOT 15 feet as stated in the description. Another reviewer has also confirmed this. The hose is only about 7 feet. If you really want to stretch the hose you may get 8 feet. The hose came in a plain cardboard box with packing material, NOT the Eureka box as pictured.

This hose may have gotten more stars if the description was not deceptive and I had actually used it. For the above reasons it gets one star.

I ended up ordering the "real" 15 foot hose directly from Eureka. This is my second one from Eureka. The hose is overpriced, but I knew what I was getting.

Comfort Glow EF4534KD Springdale Electric Fireplace

Love, Love, Love
I received this as a Christmas present and absolutely love this product. It was easy to assemble. Our home is 1820 sq feet and this product is in our living room. I have been able to keep my thermostat on my central unit on 68 degrees. This heater heats a large portion of our home, about 840 sq ft. Not only does it distribute the heat well, it is beautiful. Now I am just waiting on my electric bill and am hoping to see a decrease. I will update about that later.

Ambience is appreciated!
I love this unit... Not as big as some electric fireplace units but we set ours up on a corner table in the livingroom and it looks great! The wood is beautiful. Our visitors have all commented on how nicely our new (electric) fireplace looks and how it has brought a warm, cozy, and inviting autmosphere into our home.

Good heater
It is plain, but that's what we wanted. Our bedroom is 14 x 20 and it heats it pretty well. Can't shut off the flame simulation that"s why it got 4 stars.

Waring DF175 Digital Deep Fryer, 3-Liter

good fryer
I got this to replace the one I had. I trust the Waring name as I am in the food service business. The basket is large enough to handle a decent portion and it is easy to use. My only comment would be the timer should be digital as it is hard to see the numbers and the warning beep is not very loud.

Cheesy, but gets the job done
I have had other friers that were of a higher quality. The cover on this thing is just flimsy aluminum and doesn't bring a filter as others offered at a lower price. Basket is pretty small also.

Much better than my old round fryer.
I bought this on to replace my round deep fryer I had for over 5 years. It did a nice job, only it was hard to clean and degrease. The Waring deep fryer can taken apart and washed thoroughly, with the exception of the electronics. The price was very good, and the design was as I wanted.

Bionaire Cool Mist Humidifier

Do not operate on floor
I bought this at Costco, and I ran this the first night on my bedroom floor, which is carpeted. I left it running on low and I woke up to find my carpet wet in the path of the cool mist. The next night, I ran it on the top of my dresser, about 4 feet up, and that was high enough to prevent the mist from hitting the floor directly. Seems to be working well for me. Emits a fine visible cool mist. When running on the low setting overnight, it uses about half the tank, so I'm refilling the tank every other night.

Very good while it lasted
I bought this Bionaire Cool Mist Humidifier at Costco and immediately was impressed. I have purchased so called "quiet" humidifiers in the past but they still rattled and made noise. You can't even hear this one running. We purchased it mid November 2012 and have used it just about every day and then it just quit working and wouldn't turn on. We followed the instructions and cleaned it daily and weekly so don't know what happened. I feel somewhat uncomfortable giving this humidifier a low rating just because it quit working. That doesn't mean it is a bad product and it just could be a fluke. Every product is bound to have one lemon in the bunch. I wanted to purchase another but Costco was out in all of their stores. I only paid about $37.99 at Costco but they are being advertised on the Internet at about $68. If you want a really, really, quiet cool mist humidifier, this is the one.

Love it !!!
Love It !!!!! Have had it now for about 3 months and ended up getting another one for my daughters room. No filter , uses tap water its perfect. It does shut off sometimes if it thinks the humidity is at the level set but you can put it at stay on all the time and its fine. I bought and returned 3 others before i finally found this one !!! I dont keep it on floor (as it says not to) and have no water leaking problems .

update- should mention there is a light on front which some may find bothersome.I sleep with a mask on so it doesnt bother me. Its not real bright but if you like total dark it may bother you.You can always put a washcloth in front of it to block it .

Yogourmet Multi Electric Yogurt Maker with CBA Starter

Makes good yogurt - but you still have to work at it
I wanted to get a yogurt maker so that my daughter and I could have a ready supply of good-quality yogurt on hand at all times. After doing a little research I decided to go with the Yogourmet machine, and ordered the one that came with starter. The first batch turned out great - I used organic whole milk, with about 2 cups of half and half added to bring the quantity to 2 quarts. After 4 hours we had a nice thick yogurt.

The next batch I made, using 2 quarts of organic whole milk and a tablespoon of yogurt reserved from the first batch (based on a recommendation from a yogurt recipe), was not quite as successful. It took twice as long to become "yogurt", and even then it was soupy. It was important to me to be able to use yogurt as a starter, rather than having to rely on the powdered starter, so I wanted to try again using yogurt as the starter.

The next time I decreased the amount of milk and increased the amount of starter, using only a quart and a half of...

Excellent Product and Price $$
I have used this yogurmet to make the bifidus yogurt (CBA) for about 2 months. I really like it. It has worked just fine and I make the largest capacity possible which is 2 quarts. Be sure to have a 3 quart double boiler in order to boil the milk without scorching it. I cooked the milk in a regular 3 quart sauce pan and the milk stuck to the bottom because it takes a while to heat that much milk slowly, yet it still stuck. I used a strainer to remove any browned particle before putting it into the yogourmet. It came out tasting just fine. But a double boiler would be much much better to heat the milk in. Need large size, at least 2 quart size to heat 1 quart of milk or a 3 quart size to heat 2 quarts of milk. It does take about 12 hours to make 2 quarts.
The only thing that a person might want to consider before deciding on what yogurt maker to buy is to decide if you want a glass container to see through while the yogurt is being made or not. This 2 quart size Yogourmet...

For the price it ought to have a thermostat
I admit that I didn't try it. I bought it to replace a Salton yogurt maker that had worked well for about a year and then started to overheat and kill the yogurt culture. (Salton has apparently stopped making that product.) Imagine my frustration when I opened the box for this yogurt maker and found a note warning that it had to be used in an air-conditioned room in the summer or it would get too warm. This product is little more than a low-power heating element in a plastic tub. It "maintains the precise temperature necessary to allow the yogurt cultures to incubate fully and evenly," but only when the room is at the precise temperature necessary to keep the yogurt maker at the right temperature. If the room is five degrees too warm, the yogurt maker gets five degrees too warm. I returned it unused for that reason.

In addition, the product description claims that it can make yogurt in 4.5 hours. But the sample starter cultures included in the package are of a special...

Large Acrylic Grinder ~ Assorted Colors ~ Approx 3.25 x 1 Inches

Wouldn't choose this again
These large acrylic grinders are my favorite. I've always found they grind up my herbs the best. I saw this for $3.25 and was like no way and had to buy. Sadly this product does love up to its cheap price. The blades are too far apart to grind herbs up fine enough for rolling. It does the job, just not as good as expected.

Pretty good grinder
I like it. Cheap and gets it done. I got the clear, it'd be cool to choose your own color but its fine

does the job..sort of
it did its job for the most part but it doesn't grind everything up, I always have little chunks that haven't been separated.

KitchenAid 5 Speed Hand Mixer - Onyx Black

Great Mixer
Used this mixer three time since I received it and love it. Easy and powerful machine....quick with the cleanup too.

Only brand I use
Kitchen Aid is the brand I have used for years and whenever I recommend or give as a gift, Kitchen Aid is it. I have a stand mixer, this one, emerison blender and other small appliances and tools.
Love it.

KitchenAid is Junk
When KitchenAid was a real American product it was known for its quality. Now, of course, it's made in China and the crappy workmanship shows. Our mixer worked for a total of two weeks! Then, the on-off/speed switch went kaput. We have had this problem with other KitchenAid products since they started using slave labor to make them. Junk. Crap. Don't buy anything with the KitchenAid label. Our toaster, large kitchen mixer and food processor have all gone out in less than a year. STAY AWAY FROM KITCHENAID!

Frigidaire Refrigerator Water Dispenser Actuator 241685703

Bad design by frigidaire, but best option for replacement from Amazon
Plastic piece does not have a "bottom out" position so if someone presses too hard on it, it will break. Hard to believe $75 is a good deal on this piece of plastic with 2 led's, but is the best deal I could find.

Might need it...but glue works for now.
When our actuator snapped into two pieces last week, I found this to be the most reasonably-priced replacement on the web. BUT, since it still means spending $70, I held off and went to Home Depot and spent 20 minutes comparing different plastic-fusing glues. I went with Henkel 681925 Loctite 0.07-Ounce Super Glue Plastic Bonder, which is also sold here on amazon.com

Following the instructions (applying the primer on both surfaces, waiting for 60 seconds and then applying the glue sparingly on one of the two surfaces you want fused together), I added another thin bead of glue to the joint then carefully held the two pieces together with blue masking tape. I left the tape on for about 24 hours, and it's been five days since and the glued together pieces are staying put. Feels like it never broke. Of course, our house has no kids--just my husband and I so we don't really slam the glass against the lever, which is something kids could easily do.

Note: I left the...

EASY To Install
I installed the water dispenser in less than 30 min. I went online and watched a video on how to install a water dispenser. I used a 3 inch wood screw to guide the plastic water tube into the water dispenser on the final phase of the installation. It was an easy installation.

Magic Chef Portable Ice Maker Silver MCIM22TS

READ THIS REVIEW: Magic Chef/Emerson similar units best/quietest model to buy
Some really straight talk here:

The Magic Chef MCIM22TW Magic Chef Portable Ice Maker White MCIM22TW and Emerson Emerson Portable Ice Maker and units "identical to these" (available on Amazon/elsewhere) (Description: 12"w x14"d x15"h case, curved but relatively flat front case w/diagonal canted front control pad, and left-side drain plug ---- are the best units to buy (reliable, reasonably quiet, good ice volume). We have had problems with the Igloo (narrower case slightly different design and appearance. 9'W x 14"d x 12"h significantly curved front case also with diagonally canted control panel).

How to identify the unit you want:

The units come in many colors but generally white or silver. They are similar in appearance and size to counter-top bread makers that were popular years ago (and that made your house smell so good). If you look CLOSELY at the photos of all portable ice...

Gets the job done well.
Folks, this ice maker is available under several brand names; they're all pretty much the same product with some sporting additional features. So far it's been doing well.

We bought this to replace a similar model that lasted over two years before the internal shovel assembly stopped working. I've got to do a little surgery soon and see if I can repair it.

A fine feature of these ice makers; they make hard, dry ice cubes that last longer in your drinks. And it's fast, as advertised. The "cubes" are actually elongated and donut-shaped. The ice maker has three cube size settings.

Better yet, you're going to save some serious money and effort with this product. A bag of ice retails for around $4.00. Depending upon how much you use, this ice maker can pay back within a year.

We'll run it for a day and stockpile the ice in Ziplock bags. While it can be left to run all the time ~ it will only run when the ice is low in the catch pan, we prefer to...

Forever Ice
We have had this machine for 2 years. It sits outside on our patio in Arizona. It hits 115 degrees in the summer. It has been cleaned one a month and has NEVER stopped or had any kind of problems. We just keep filling it with water and it keeps making ice 24/7/365.

I ordered, not one, but two, Yes two of the Awesome Vacuum Extensions! Instead of bending over I stand upright! Just think of what you could do with 4 or even 5 tubes together! Think of the possiblities! You could stand in one place and Vac the whole room with moving just your arm, vac forward, vac back, vac forward, vac back. It's a great one arm workout! What an amazing tube and with two connected to the third one I've got over 4 feet of tube to suck those dirt bugs right off the floor!

Cuisinart CPT-140 Electronic Cool Touch 4-Slice Toaster, White

An overall great toaster for a family
When we started looking for a new toaster after the death of our last, we realized we needed to upgrade to a 4 slot with our growing family. We live in a small apartment however and lots of counter space was out of the question. So first we got a Dualit, after reading all the reviews. Well, it needs to be prewarmed for best results and it gets incredibly hot to the touch, not too great for little fingers. So back it went and more reviews to read. We ended up getting the Cuisinart Cool Touch and although we worried about the reviews that mentioned an uneven warming problem, it hasn't happened for us. The toaster toasts quickly and well and yes, evenly on both sides--so far both toast and bagels have been great. It's easy to use and clean, has a great "lift the toast higher" feature and doesn't get hot on the outside. Oh and yes, it doesn't take up much room on the counter. So far, the best toaster we've ever had.

Make sure it's not on "Bagel" setting
Could the reason for all the one-sided toasting that everyone is complaining about, be because their toaster was set for bagels? The bagel setting intentionally toasts on one side only.

I'm Giving Up on Cuisinart...
I've returned two of these toasters, purchased new, in the past week. The first bread toasted fine; the next four uses produced increasingly poor results. I took that one back in hopes that it would prove an aberration! Unfortunately on the first use, the second toaster browned one side of the bread and not the other. Hoping this may have been a "break-in" issue, I toasted another two pieces of bread; they only browned around the edges. The third attempt didn't even produce enough heat to dry out the bread. Additionally in the week before I purchased these, I had to return a four slice Cuisinart Custom Control to Amazon due to malfunctioning and design defects. (Amazon was wonderful, by the way!) So after three attempts at Cuisinart, I'm giving up. It seems their products are increasing poorly made and are not worth the premium dollars. Look elsewhere...

Air Flow Breeze ULTRA with Remote Control (Almond) (2.625"H x 13.875"W x 7.625"D)

Dumb Ineffective Design
I bought this to improve cool airflow to a distant upstairs bedroom. First off, the 140 CFM rating is questionable, seems a lot lower than that to me (i.e., is weak). Secondly, if installed as intended, the airflow direction points downward whereas you want an upward airflow direction for cooling (seems it would have been simple enough to incorporate an up/down reverseable design, but they didn't do that - and yes, you can install it upside down to achieve the desired effect, but in an intelligent design that would not be necessary). Finally, as another said, there's no manual controls on the unit so you are SOL if you lose the remote or it breaks. I will probably send this back and look for a more powerful and more intelligently designed airflow booster. (And one more thing, the unit is way over priced.)

Update 7-1-12: I decided to intall this unit to test it out before (presumably) sending it back. Re my review above, put simply, I was wrong, the unit does work. In two...

Feel the difference!
We bought this booster for our bedroom as an alternative to a $400 air conditioner unit for slider/casement windows. We've tried cheaper boosters, and they just don't work. Two cheapos did not work as well as one of these bad boys. I can feel the breeze from across the room!

We can keep an eye on the temperature in the room with our baby monitor's temperature display. It stays about 4 degrees cooler than before in the hot part of the day; during the night it actually reaches the same temp as downstairs! The baby can now take good naps in his swaddle, and we don't have to freeze ourselves in the rest of the house just to keep him cool.

It has a nice relatively quiet hum, even on high. Our other boosters are much louder. I don't think you can get any quieter and still have two fans moving that much air.

The remote is great for ceilings and other hard-to-reach areas.

AirFlow Breeze Ultra Booster Fan
Below I address the 4 different issues: (1) set-up, (2) installation, (3) noise factor, (4) effectiveness... Now that I am past the set-up, I am quite pleased with the AirFlow Breeze Ultra. (1) The instructions for setting up the device were a bit confusing for me, so I contacted AirFlow Technologies and a really great guy named Bernie guided me through the process. After you turn the device ON, set the mode, select the speed, then for heat push the DOWN button until the fans turn ON, then push the UP button until the fans turn OFF... this is where the "set point" referred to in the instructions is actually the determined (not also at the step before as alluded to in the instructions). I finally went with Bernie's suggestion and put the set point at 70 (the circuitry actually adds 3 more degrees to the user-set set point). I have found though because of the short intervals between my furnace's ON cycles, due to the heat that remains in the ducts after the furnace blower shuts OFF, my...

Stovetop Extender SE23WHI Oven Gap Guard

keeps the crud out of the crack
this product shipped in a timely fashion and fits our stove/counter dimensions. We previously had a T shaped crack filler in between our stove and counter and it was a lightweight plastic material which melted and split from the heat of the gas stove. This product is made of better material and is heat resistant. It is thinner in appearance than our previous solution so it is not such an eye sore. The magnetic strip is a nice feature to hold it in place. We are happy with this product and it's appearance and effectiveness at keeping the crud out of the crack.

Stovetop Extender
This product works very well for us, they are magnetized so they hold firmly to the stove and make cleanup much easier. I am amazed at how simple a concept can work so well, no more flying pasta leaping off into that crack between the stove and counter. I would recommend this to anyone who has a little space between their stove and counter.

great solution!
These strips solved the gap between the stove and counter top perfectly. They stay in place and most importantly keep crumbs, etc. from falling down to the "never neverland" between the stove and cupboard.

Living Basix LB100 Jet Fry Oil-Free Fryer with Adjustable Temperature Control and Timer

actifry vs. hot air fryers
There are over 300 reviews here so you have all you need to know about actifry. It is an innovative product that will cook many different foods you would normally fry at hot temp. while stirring. You don't need to stir with the actifry but you do need to keep an eye on it since it is high temp. only and it is easy to burn foods. For deep frying french fries it is a great alternative but has not had any competition until now. The hot air fryers (not pots) are becoming available and popular right now and also make french fries without deep frying. There are many opinions on the internet about which are better, split about 50/50 on fries. But the new (to the US) hot air fryers also do many things besides fries. They have a basket much like a deep fryer so do not stir the food. But you can put large food like a chicken breast, frozen or not, breaded or not, and get excellent results. Almost any breaded meat or fish can be cooked to perfection. It takes a while to figure out the timing...

Oil free... love it
I love sweet pototes frie so i decided to tried it out with the new gadget. They turned out really good, crispy on the outside and fully cooked thru in the inside too. My kids loved it. It was hasselfree and cleaning was very easy. I am going to buy this for my mom, who love fried food but with this product, i don' t think that she will ever go back to using oil to fried her food again.

Clean tasty and healthy.
Food will not be exactly the same as fried. But it's pretty close. It's easy enough to clean and cooks pretty fast, but not as fast as advertized.
