GREAT for the Price!
It's a very nice looking mixer although the body is plastic. I've had it about 4 mos. now and am very happy with it. With very hard ice cream it does take a little more time to mix like some of the other reviews have stated. However, I don't mind moving the drink cup around to mix it all--it's really no big deal! The end result is that the shake tastes just like a well made shake at your favorite place for shakes--but you can make them at home any time you like! You have to experiment a little to get the ingredient mix right (chocolate, ice cream & milk) to your liking. The mixing blade tip is also made of plastic but so far it's held up well. As far as the stem falling out, I had that problem too and found out I was not inserting it until it locked. If it's inserted correctly, it won't fall out! I've looked for things to be negative about but honestly can't find any. Definitely worth the price!
Does Not Mix Well
This machine does not mix well at all, you have to keep taking the cup off the holder and manually mixing, as it gets stuck and will not mix through the thick ice cream. UGH!!
I dont recommend this item.

this is used often in my home not just in the summer but all year, who doesnt like shakes and being able to choose their flavors and make their own?
