flames quit working right away
I guess you get what you pay for...but I just wanted the ambience of a "flame" in my living room. The heat is a bonus. I was replacing a previous electric fireplace. The flame "effect" has already stopped working, and I've only had it for about a month or so. If I "bang" on the back of it, the flame tries to work, but makes a grinding noise and quits again. My advice is to spend more money and get something a bit better than this.

Good buy for the money
I purchased this item on Sunday afternoon and it arrived via UPS ground this morning (Wed). I noticed instantly that the unit does not resemble the online or box photo. The handle is very shiny brass and the front door is shiny plastic (like a child's cheap toy#. The rest of the unit is made of thin, shiny metal #again, like a child's toy#. The legs are platic. It took about ten minutes to remove from the box and screw in the legs. It turned on instantly and has been running since #for about two hours). It makes more noise than I had anticipated but it's not overpowering. I am rating this four stars because I have no previous experience with electric fireplaces and I am not sure how what I have described compares with other units. If you are looking for an affordable, small, ambient, supplemental heat source that looks nice from across the room then buy this unit. If you are looking for something substantial or authentic, you will be disappointed.

Works nice.......occasionally
This small stove looks nice, but is very cheaply built. When you open the front door, the plastic bends almost to the point of breaking just to overcome the magnet that holds it shut. The fan is very noisy sometimes, other times it's quiet. The bearings act like they were going out from day one. The flames work.....sometimes. If they don't move, bang the sides and they usually take off. I should have sent this back, but it really wasn't worth the effort after assembling it.

Neato XV-11 Vacuum Cleaner Battery 945-0005 (7.2v 3500 mAh 25.2 Whr) Battery - Replacement For Neato Robotics 945-0005

Good batteries
First off, they are actually 3800 mAh, at least the ones I received were. I do not consider this a problem. 02 batteries arrived with this purchase, so yes you get TWO batteries with one order.

Now, I will assume that my neato has a defective plug. In my Port side 4 pin male connector, one of the pins is slightly recessed. This never affected the original batteries. The new batteries were a problem however, as the female pins are slightly deeper in the plug. So basically I had to cut the tip of one plug down a mm or two. This allowed the male pin to contact the female..and presto, it worked great!

First cleaning was today while I was gone and it finished and was returned to base when I got home. From the look of the lines, I can tell it did it all in one charge. My old batteries were starting to take 2-3 charges. Area is about 1000 sq ft. with lots of obstacles.

Brought my dying XV-11 back to life!
We've had our Neato XV-11 for a little over a year. We call him M-O (from Wall-E). For the last couple of months, M-O has been going down hill, it seemed. It was taking him way longer to clean the floor, and very frequently he'd get stuck in weird places and run out of battery in the middle of his cleaning duties. Needless to say, he wasn't cleaning the floor like he was when we first bought him. I was very strongly considering throwing him away and getting a different brand, thinking that he's just a faulty robot. I know that sounds harsh, but it's true.

Prior to replacing the battery, it seemed like every few days, M-O would complain that his brush was stuck, which required me to flip him over, take him apart, and clean him. This was getting ridiculous and I was done with it. I was really frustrated, too, because the little guy was just out of warranty period.

Anyway, I read a Neato F.A.Q. that said that they recommended changing the battery in the XV-11 once a...

Works Well/...Updated...Dead After Four Months
After about a month, these batteries have held their charge well. Installation was easy and straight forward (it also gave me the chance to clean the bottom side out too!). After 18 months, I really have enjoyed my Neato!

This is an update after four months:
This battery set died after four months. The charge was lasting only about five minutes, if that. After measuring the voltage and talking to Neato Support, it appears one of the cells is dead thereby making the battery pack useless. My Neato runs once a week. The factory batteries lasted 18 months.

I guess you get what you pay for. I will not buy these again.

Factory battery replacements are working properly.

I ordered this coffee maker after I broke the carafe on my old Braun. It looks like Braun has gone out of business so I began looking for a new one. After spending hours looking over the reviews on all of the other coffee makers on Amazon and Consumers Reports, I took a chance on this one. It was amazing how many problems all of the other coffee makers seemed to have; from pumping hot coffee all over the floor and counter to some even catching on fire. I was very nervous about ordering this one because at the time it only had one review. I can safely say now that I am very happy with this one. This is the coffee maker to get!
Well, I said I'd never get another Krups after the FME model I got 2 years ago made a great cup of burning plastic flavored coffee, but as you can see, I tried them again. This model isn't listed on Krups' website, and I only discovered this version by reading a review on another site. And if I remember correctly, none of my searches here on Amazon turned this one up until I typed in the exact model#. I tried a Cuisinart 1200, rated fairly highly here, and what it made was not coffee. So I gave this Krups a shot based on a 4.5 star rating. Yup - this is the real thing. Good, rich, smooth, gourmet-flavored brew. All of you looking for a replacement for the Krups ProAroma 453 can find it here. The other good thing about this model is finally they put the clock display on top of the maker so you don't have to kneel on the floor to see what the display says. Krups coffee maker
The taste of the coffee from this machine when put on the "Aroma" setting is outstanding. I was wanting a replacement for an older Krups machine. It has good tasting coffee too, but this particular model has made my coffee drinking experience brand new. I have had comments from others saying "This coffee sure is good!". I do not go to any special lengths to make my coffee either. The Krups brand in my opinion is hard to beat.

Cozy Legs Panel Heater CL

Good Product / Not for Everyone
We use the cozy legs in our office setting to eliminate issues with blown breakers. It does accomplish that. Some people prefer a heater with a fan, some people find the cozy legs to be just exactly what they need. Personally, I love my cozy legs.

I also love the Customer Service I received at Toby's Tool shed. One heater arrived damaged and they immediately replaced it without hassle.

Great Small Chicken Coop Heater
We use this heater for our small (4' x 4') outdoor chicken coop. We have it plugged in to a thermostat outlet that automatically turns it on at 35 degrees and off at 45 degrees. We installed the heater onto one of the interior walls and also insulated the coop. This heater works well for us because we didn't want a heater with too much power for such a small space. It seems to keep the coop about 10 degrees warmer than the outdoor temperature, but it hasn't gotten below 30 degrees yet. We are happy with it so far and the chickens seem to like it.

Serves its purpose
This product keeps my legs warm. I purchased it for several reasons: to keep me warm in the office; to reduce costs; and to stop my eyes from drying out from the use of a regular heater. I would give it 5 stars, but since the stand and the Hi/Lo control are separate expenses (and pay for shipping for these 2 "extra" items) then it only gets 4 stars.

Panasonic SR-MS103 5-Cup (Uncooked) Rice Cooker, White

Best in price range
+Has many modes (white/brown/quick/cake/slow cook/sticky/porridge/steam)
+Rice is cooked to perfection
+Slow cooked pulled pork turns out well on slow cooking mode
+Cheapest price range fuzzy logic cooker (except for some shady sixty dollar products)
+Keep warm works well for up to a day (8 hours is the max recommended, but it stays on after that too)
+Very easy to clean
+Is exactly the size it says in the title. 5-cups uncooked, 10-cups cooked. ("Cup" means rice-cooker cup, 180ml)

-Slow cook timer is apparently a *maximum* time. It will automatically stop when it feels like it, typically after about 2 hours, even if you set it for 8.
-Rubber rim stains easily (interior, cosmetic)
-No "extended" keep warm as with some higher end Zojirushi cookers (lower heat for 8 hours, followed by regular keep warm). I'm not sure how much of an effect this has.

Thorough Review of Panasonic MS103
Alright, this is going to be a very straightforward review of the cooking features of the MS103 rice cooker. Based on other amazon reviews (specifically of the previous version, MS102) I bought this rice cooker over others. Each section will have a rating out of 5, with 5/5 being the best and 1/5 being the worst.

Review of the cooking functions:
*Please not all rice functions were made with Calrose rice, not pre-soaked, cleaned and measured properly.
*The brown rice was cooked with the cheapest brown, long-grain at the grocery store.

White Rice
- 3 cups = great.
- 1 cup = great.

Quick Rice
- 1 cup = horrible. Raw inside, overcooked outside.
- 2 cups = bad. Evenly undercooked.
*Manual warned that Quick Rice might be hard.

Brown Rice
- 1 cup = good. Evenly cooked, but there was a thin crust at the bottom.

- 1 cup = ok? I wasn't sure how Panasonic...

Excellent results, enthusiastically recommended
It's really excellent so far, with results clearly better than our previous Zorijushi, which was old and used older simpler tech, dying after many years of good use.
I was set to buy another Zorijushi, with its stellar reputation -- but comparable technology would have cost much more.

Seeing how highly praised the previous model Panasonic SR-MS102 was, I braved trying its successor SR-103.

So far half my rice cooking has been with Jasmine rice, and half with Japanese rice.
It's all wonderful.

One reason I bought this cooker was because it had a dedicated brown rice setting, but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet, hope to update this review.
Update: made huge amount of sushi with rice cooked on "sticky rice" setting, came out beautifully. Very glad this cooker has this sticky rice setting!
Still haven't tried brown rice.

My complaints are very minor.

Dyson DC25 Animal Ball-Technology Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Objective, In-Depth Review
We purchased the DC25 Animal Ball about two weeks ago. What I would've liked to have seen before purchasing is a review that gave me all the answers- but I quickly realized such a review doesn't exist. It's impossible to tell the difference between what's always true and what's anecdotal, what's proven and what's someone's opinion, brand loyalists, people who are determined to be underwhelmed or unhappy with the product, etc. So, in an effort to help everyone out there who is in the same position I was- here is my attempt at all the answers for you:

Some background- we are a family of 3, with 2 Shiba Inu's that are adorable but shed year round, -especially- in the summer. I don't mean there is a little hair here and there, I mean there is literally hair wafting through the air, it is EVERYWHERE, and it never lessens or ends despite hours of "furminating". Beyond that, we are not overly zealous when it comes to cleaning and tend to value our time together over time...

The vacuum of my dreams!
I've owned just about every top rated vacuum that has been made. I was never satisfied, mostly because they where too heavy to handle, or the animal hair was blown about, rather than sucked up. I do have a canister vacuum that I have had for years, but I wanted a satisfactory upright that was light and easy to handle. I have a cat and a dog, and there is lots of shedding hair, all the time. Our house is mostly hard floors, stairs, and one large rug in the living room. When I saw the DC25 Animal, I decided to spend the money hoping that this vacuum would do the job. It has lived up to my wildest dreams, it is wonderfully easy to handle, so easy to maneuver, the 16 lbs make such a difference compared to those very heavy machines I had before, I had no problem carrying it upstairs. I love that with this vacuum I don't need to select different heights, it goes from floor to carpet to floor. I was even able to clean the dogs bed without the wand attachment. Speaking of the wand/handle...

A vacuum cleaner is one of those items that you "get what you pay for."

I have owned 2 cheap-o (less than $100) cleaners over the past two years. One was bagged and the other was bagless. They were both CRAP! I would have to take part the vacuum and unclog it just to get moderate suction power. In the end all i was left with was carpeting that looked clean at first glance...simply because of the vacuum track marks. But when i would closely inspect the carpet, it was nasty. Still covered in dog hair and dust! I wasn't able to vacuum our dog's hair to save my life and it was starting to stress me out. I gave in and started to research online for a new QUALITY vacuum. After hours of online research it came down to two choices and they were both Dysons. I had seen the commercials, knew people that owned them, and was always skeptical about paying so much money for a vacuum cleaner but I couldn't ignore the reviews from both average Joe's and online Consumer...

Allied National 0300604 "Oreck" Xl Series Vacuum Belt - Pk/3

Sexiest vacuum cleaner belt money can buy
What more can I say, it's a belt, it fits my Oreck, it make my wife happy. Which make me happy.

Works great!
I bought these in February (10 months ago) for my Oreck XL after the installed belt started wearing and producing a burning rubber smell (I believe it was the original belt from around 1991, so it's about time!). Installation was a breeze, the fit was perfect, and my Oreck is happily sucking things up once again.

Trusty belts
I inherited my grandmother's 1980's era Oreck Upright almost 2 years ago, and darn it if the belt didn't break soon after I got it. I ordered these belts, was able to easily install the new belt, and so far so good--same belt is up to almost 2 years of use without fraying yet. I vacuum about 1500 square feet of carpet once per week, and then every two weeks to month I vacuum an add'l 750 sq ft of carpet, in case you wonder how often this belt is put to use. Usually the vacuum is in use about 30-45 minutes total each time I use it. Great price, reliable product, works for me!

Whirlpool WMH31017AS 1.7 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Over-the-Range Microwave

Best Bang for the Buck out there!
Bought this at Christmas time to replace a GE Conv/Micro that cost $1200. This is the slickest microwave you could imagine. Works great and heats faster than the old GE; that cost 5 times more. If you want a SS Microwave, to go over your stove, and dont want to break the bank, I couldnt say enough about this one. It works flawlessly, and performs with the best of them.
With that said, I was very disapointed with the limited manual that comes with it, and owned it for a month, before I realized that that 99% of the info, that I was looking for, is on a label INSIDE THE DOOR JAM ?????????????????? There is NO MENTION of that fact in the manual; And all the codes, and info, I was searching for is printed right there on the bottom of the door jam; IF you know where to look for it!! So in closing this is a run to buy it purchase; and you will not be disapointed in the unit in anyway . Read all the codes inside the doorjam on the bottom and life will be good for you !!!!

Great value, excellent performance. A bit difficult to install.
Our over the range microwave died suddenly in our new home. I was not the original purchase of this particular appliance, and it was over 10 years old.

So I began looking for product replacement. I found a Whirlpool model online that had some nice ratings, but when I went to my local big box store to purchase, they didn't have the exact Whirlpool model I had read about. What I found, was this model, which I assume is the newest version.

The microwave has a very nice finish. The door and front feel fairly sturdy.

Operation is simple. I tend to hate overly complex controls. I want power and simple controls. This microwave meets my needs in this regard. This microwave has lots of power.

Now the bad. The install. This is my second microwave install. My first being a retrofit of an over the range fan.

My first install, and noticing the hardware of my current broken microwave. The units are mounted by a rear wall bracket...

looks nice, seems to work well, but needs to be modified before installation
I just purchased this Whirlpool Stainless Steel Microwave a few weeks ago when it was on sale for Fathers day and today I installed it. So far it is works well and it looks really nice. So we will see how well it keeps up, compared to those counter microwaves that usually last for 10+ years. I will update my review after a few months of use.

BEFORE INSTALLING READ:

For those who are installing this microwave themself, make sure you remove the outer frame and modify the two bolts that bolt the microwave to the top of your cabinet. Whoever designed this microwave and decided to use clip on threaded nuts instead of welded nuts to hold the microwave in secure is a complete imbecile! After trying to install the microwave, one of the bolts pushed in the clip on nut and it took me a few minutes to figure out why it would not screw in properly. After I noticed that the nut was pushed in I removed the case and used JB weld to secure both of the nuts to the microwave...

Absolutely useless. Don't waste your money or time on this junk
This steamer steamed less than a cup of boiling water would and even that was intermittent. Useless junk. Sending it back; although I'm not holding my breath. If the retailer is half as bad as the product I guess it's going straight to the bin.

Look elsewhere, this thing is 100% useless. You have better luck spitting on what you wanted to steam.

The seller got back to me and gave me a complete refund. Kudus to the seller for doing so; I have heard bad stories re sellers not responding, but this guy is not one of them. Whilst I do not recommend the product, I do recommend the seller. 5 stars for the seller

Frigidaire Gallery FGMO205K Microwave Oven

Never Again Will I Buy This Brand
Steer clear of Frigidaire and their Gallery series microwaves! We purchased a Gallery series microwave in 2005. It looked nice, and has functioned just fine. However, shortly after the warranty ran out, the glass window in the door detached. On further inspection, one of the cheap, plastic clips that held the glass panel in place had broken off. The fix that was offered to us was to buy a replacement door for about $80. This we did.

Once again, everything was fine for awhile, then the same issue happened with the replacement door. This time my husband tried gluing the window in place. It looked awful, but held for awhile. Eventually, we replaced the door again. Please note that the warranty period on the replacement parts is only 90 days. I can see why they have such a short warranty period. They know their doors aren't going to last much longer than that.

We are now looking at having to replace the door a third time. Of course, doing so would be ridiculous at...

Broke after 2 years
I really loved all the features on this microwave. It ran great, for 2 years. Then it broke, the fan and magatron just stopped right in the middle of cooking. I had a repair company come out and look at it and they said the transformer was bad, it is connected to everything with parts and labor it would be $200 to repair. I have had a bad experience with Frigidaire. I bought a Gallery Series Refridigerator, dishwasher and microwave and a Professional series stove in Jan 2010.. every piece has been repaired. Customer service was friendly but unhelpful. I didn't by the extended warrenty, cause I never had any of my $100 microwaves break. I have a the trim kit and matching other appliance and don't want to invest in a whole new set up so I am going to buy another one and cross my fingers. Probaly will get a home warrenty plan just to get coverage this time.

Frigidaire?Never!
I would never, ever buy Frigidaire products.I suggest you go to their own Facebook page to see the volume of complaints which go unanswered.Our local supplier will no longer carry their products due to poor build which means their service dept is cnstantly on repairs for them.we got 3 appliances all of which have gone wrong under warranty including the pump on a dishwasher-and the part didn;t come for weeks so imagine the stench.
Our supplier only really recommends Maytag highly and NEVER NEVER FRigidaire.

I wanted a smaller bag to store pintos and other food in a smaller quantity. I started out with this kit. The bags have tiny pinhole points in them like they are seconds. Out of the first eight two were bad. This company has no other thing on Amazon.

First time I've tried these. They are easy to use. Will have to wait to see just how long they keep things preserved. (Hope I live that long. ha) Just need to get more of them!

UT Wire UTW-CC1001-WH 10-Feet Cord Channel, White

I recommend it!
I have been trying to find a easy product to cover the cords from my speaker sets on the wall. This is extremely easy to use. Just stick it on the wall where I want the cords to run and insert the cords in the soft opening. And anywhere that I need for a single cord to come out in the middle of the track, i just pull it out from the front. There is no complicated parts to install. I can even paint it to match my wall color. Excellent.

Wiremold can eat it! UT Wire cord hide is superior in every way!

1. Price - hmm..... $30 for 5 feet of Wiremold? OR $15 for 10 ft. of UT Wire? That is such a hard decision.

2. Ease of installation - I put this stuff up in 20 min from start to finish. Wiremold can be a pain, especially when you are rounding corners.

3. Ease of use - If I need to take a cord out, I don't have to disassemble the entire length of conduit like one would have to with Wiremold. Instead, I can just pull the wire out. Also, I can have different wires exit in different places without have to cut the conduit or install any fancy accessories.

Bottom line. UT WIre is the best. I will use this for all my cord hiding needs.

Does the job
This product does what it says. The plastic doesn't feel cheap and has lasted a while for me. The double sided sticker is very sticky so make sure you put it right where you want it or you might need to re-drywall where you had to remove it.

The Jesus Toaster

It's a MIRACLE!!!!
This is PERFECT for making tuna fish sandwiches, but be sure to use Miracle Whip to keep things authentic.

Okay, it's a little on the light side, but if you only use it on Sunday mornings for a little communion at home with your mimosa, it should work just fine for a good while. It's also great for raucous Baptist fondue parties as well. I would recommend using white bread for the best image, as using whole grain tends to make Jesus look like he has zits. The really great thing about this toaster is that you can make your purchase price back (or whenever you need some quick cash) by selling a piece of Jesus image miracle toast on E-bay or Craig's List. A fun suggestion is to sneak a piece of the toast in on an evangelical church pot luck dinner. I almost guarantee at least one fainting spell.

However, I am a bit confused about how the image can possibly be of the Man himself, since he never sat for a portrait that we know of. I mean, how do we know this image...

Cute but not very well made.
It works, but I'd hate to guarantee that I can cook 20 pieces of toast in one morning. It is not heavy duty at all. In fact it is light duty, mostly plastic, and unique because of Jesus on it. Seems they skimped on metal in many areas because they had another selling point. The first one I got was sent back because the handle would not stay down. The replacement one works, but it is very light and I expect it to actually shatter the first time it gets bumped off the counter. I gave it 3 stars because as long as it doesn't get bumped it ought to be fine on the counter and work for a long time.

Piece of Junk
This toaster is a piece of junk. Made of cheap plastic and the first time I used it it almost started a fire. A total waste of money.

Vornado SRTH Small Room Tower Heater

Heats small rooms thoroughly and quickly...
For a such a small heater, I'm amazed by how quickly and completely it heats a small room. I can go to any corner of the room and feel the warmth...not just in the area of the heater. Even the farthest corner of the room, which impressed me.

It's very quiet, even on the highest setting and it takes up very little space, being a tower heater.

The Vornade SRTH small tower heater works quite well for providing heat in a small room / area.

What I like about this product :

- the unit is very compact (measures 1 foot in height and 6" for the base diameter). It can be conveniently placed in areas like top of the desk or on a book shelve
- the heater provides pretty good heating coverage with its V-Flow circulation. It also provides immediate heat to the room as opposed to the slower oil-Filled radiator units.

Perfect for Gentle Office Heating
I always keep a small heater next to my desk to warm my feet. The heater I have been using is the top-rated (Consumer Reports) Holmes HFH436WGL-UM Heater Fan with Bathroom Safe Plug. The problem I have with that heater is that it is too loud and too hot. You can only turn it off or on (it has a thermostat) but not lower the heat or air flow. It's a great heater but too much for my feet.

This heater, however is perfect for my office for the following reasons.

- Size: it is an inch taller and six inches narrower than the holmes heater and takes up little space next to my desk.
- Sound: very quiet.
- Heat: two air speeds and it subtly warms rather than getting really hot like the holmes heater. That doesn't mean it can't heat the room - just does it more gently and slowly.
- Company reputation: I already have several Vornado fans and they are running as well as when I bought...

Air King 9166 20" Whole-House Window Fan

Disappointing Performance for a 20" Fan
Air King has had a 20", model 9166 for quite awhile. I bought my original in 1998. It filled the important niche between an industrial strength attic fan and a smaller lightweight window fan. In 2004 the original plastic fan blade failed, but fortunately I was able to obtain a replacement. That model 9166 continued in service until last month when it screeched to a stop with a seized "lubricated for life" bearing and another cracked plastic blade.

The new model 9166D (under review) was purchased as a direct replacement. While the new 9166 now has an aluminum blade, unfortunately it has a weaker smaller motor, resulting in inferior performance. The old 9166 had a quiet low speed of 520 RPM that moved a respectable 4160 CFM. The new 9166's low speed is a noisy 1100 RPM, but at that speed it only moves 2510 CFM. So at that twice the speed it moves only a little more than half the air.

Colonial Needle Fiber Blender Tools

Felters will love these little brushes
As a fiber artist who loves to blend colors of wool roving to achieve the results I want, I was very happy to find these small but well made tools. I also have a regular sized pair of hand carders (large), but they are rather bulky to take to classes and are way bigger and more expensive than needed. The Fiber Blenders have smooth wooden handles (not cheap plastic), fine even teeth, and are just the right size for the amount of fiber I work with. I blend different colors and even different types (think wool combined with Angelina) of fibers with just a few strokes of the brushes. Blended fibers really do felt better, whether you're needle felting or wet felting. I even turn my left-over yarns (wool or acrylic) into fluffy fiber using these little brushes. Very versatile!

These felting tools will save you money
Instead of always purchasing an expensive wad of roving when you are completing felted critters, use your leftover, short lengths of wool or acrylic yarn and blend them into roving with these dandy blending tools. I use leftover yarn in red, or pink for a critter's mouth, orange for a snowman's nose, and many bits of black for Dalmatian pups, and so on. These items are real money savers, and I highly recommend them.

Whirlpool Refrigerator Evaporator Motor

Super Easy Install
I got a really great price on this item. It came in just a few days and was really easy to install. If you can use a screwdriver and know how to unplug the fridge then you are good...

If your fridge is making a errrrr noise (almost like a loud hum). It is the bearings in the fan motor going out. This affordable part will fix it and ordering it will save you hundreds over a professional.

Also the way I diagnosed it was to take the back of the freezer out. If you take out those two screws and slide the brackets UP that hold the freezer shelf, the back panel just slides UP also.

Spin the blade a little by hand and it will probably work for a little while. I left it that way with all of my food in there and just got the blade spinning each time it made the humming sound, until my evap motor came in.

Fixed good as new now!

Saved an old Kenmore from the scrap heap
Sis went down to our elderly parents basement and was alarmed by the noise the old kenmore fridge in the basement was making and unplugged it because she was afraid of it catching fire. On checking I found that the evaporator fan, in the back of the freezer had bad bearings and was screeching loudly. A replacement fan from the local appliance repair shop was almost $70.Parents did not want to spend big money on an old refrigerator, and they were going to replace it. Found this on amazon and thought why not? Had to do some trimming of the mounting bracket but it works just fine and is very quiet. The old Kenmore cools like new now. If you are buying this I recommend you also check the coil fan, usually located at the bottom of the refrigerator. Be sure that it is free to rotate and blow air over the coils in order for the refrigerator to cool well. Put a drop or two of turbine oil on the shaft where it goes into the motor housing once a year or so to keep it that way. You can buy this...

Great espresso maker for this price range!
I previously worked as a barista for a couple of years and acquired quite a bit of espresso knowledge on the job, so I did my research before deciding on this machine. I am confident that if you know what you're doing already OR are willing to be a student of espresso machines for a little while, you can get great results with any machine. Like any other machine, this Krups took some trial and error. For example, I became quite frustrated on a couple occasions during the first week of use because I would flip the espresso dial and nothing would happen. It turned out I had used too much espresso, so that took a little finessing to get just right.
First, the things I love about the machine: easy to use, easy to clean, relatively easy to understand, and gives me good-tasting espresso for americano or latte/cappuccino.

Things I had to learn: don't overfill the basket/portafilter, and if you're making a latte do the espresso before the milk- the machine takes forever to...

Great Machine
This is the second Krups espresso machine I've owned. My first one lasted 15 years, so I'm hoping this one will go the distance, too.

This one pulls a tasty espresso shot, and it's easy to use.

I agree with others when they say you *have* to read the manual first. It's not the most well-written manual, and is a tad confusing. Sometimes the manual says to wait until a light is "on" when they mean "off." Basically, what you need to know is that when the temperature light is on, the unit is still warming up. When it's off, it's ready to go. (BTW, it only takes a minute to warmup.)

Yes, you have to prime it before the first time you use it. Not a big deal -- it just means filling up the water tank and running hot water through the wand into an empty cup for 1/4 of the tank, then running hot water through the main head (without the portafilter in place) for the other 3/4 of the tank.

I was shampooing my carpets when the water storage tank fall off and broke the handle. My first thought was I guess I will have buy a new shampoo machine. I then thought about a replacement handle,where will I find a product like this? KRUPS FLF2J4 Cordless Electric Kettle, Black

Just like a typical British kettle - excellent!
As a Brit living in America I spent years boiling the water for my tea on the stove top, as none of the (very few) electric kettles available in the shops looked any good - certainly not up to the standard of a typical British kettle that could be purchased for a fraction of the price back home. Finally I decided to look online and see if I could find a decent kettle there and, after doing extensive research, I settled on this Krups kettle as being the best model available in the US for a decent price. The best thing about it is that it has 1750 watts of power (more than any other kettle I found available in the US), which means that it compensates somewhat for the lower voltage in the US and actually boils almost as quickly as a British kettle. The minimum amount of water you're supposed to boil at one time is 2 cups, and this boils in just under two minutes. However, since I am usually just making just one cup of tea at a time, I often boil just one cup of water and this takes 1 min...

Lousy kettle, lousy company
This kettle never worked correctly from the start. I had to repeatedly press the "on" button to get it to bring water to a boil, as it would shut off prematurely. When I finally got tired of dealing with that, I sent it into Krups authorized repair. When I got it back, it was no better than when I sent it in. They did nothing to repair it.

After complaining to Krups itself, I received an email promising to replace the kettle. I sent the broken kettle in to Krups, as per their instructions. After waiting many weeks, it never arrived. I again complained to Krups, and this time actually got a phone call from a representative who said the kettle would be mailed out "soon". That was months ago, and it never arrived. I've written off this kettle and Krups, for that matter. My only regret is that Amazon's rating system doesn't allow "zero" stars. This doesn't even rate a "1".

I for one will never buy another Krups product. They apparently don't stand behind their...

initial not staying on issue fixed
I had the same issue as the person who bought it for their grandmother. I called Krups, and they gave me the number of a local repair place. I called them and the repair guy told me to turn the on off button on and off like 6 times and try again.

This time it worked perfectly.

He said there is a thermestat in there that sometimes gets stuck in shipping, and I should contact them again if any other issues pop up.

edit: the problum popped up again, we tried to unstick it but found we kept having to do it over and over. Contacted the Krups repair and they sent us a replacement item for FREE. The replacement one works perfectly and has now for over a year.

Duracraft DWM250 2-1/2-Gallon Warm-Mist Humidifier

One of the most difficult purchases in a long time
My grandparents had a cabin in Canada, and their "humidifier" was a shovel full of snow in a big pot on the wood stove. Ah...those were the days. Fast forward to the present, in my home without a wood stove, to a complaining wife and stuffy newborn. What I thought was a seemingly easy task turned into a nightmare, thanks to the internet and Amazon reviews.

The type was easy. Cool mist is too moldy (unless they are kept clean, and let's be realistic, who actually cleans humidifiers?) and filters are pricey, ultrasonic has the added benefit of the "white powder" in the air and settling on everything, and the whole-home kind that are attached to the furnace ducts aren't really made for small heat pump HVAC like I have in my house. So, warm mist it was, and I started on my journey to find the perfect one.

And it was a journey. I found fancy ones with all sorts of features, and cheap ones that made steam. All had one thing in common, those that hated them and...

Very Smart Purchase
I really like this humidifier and have been on the very difficult journey to discover which humidifier will work for me, whether cool or warm mist is better and which actually does what it says the same as everyone else. I get frequent sinus infections and am in great need of a humidifier here in the northeast during the cold months with the heat. I just constantly don't feel good without one. For over 10 years I have used cool mist humidifiers. I honestly never considered a warm one. The last one I had was a Holmes and it was certainly not cheap. I took good care of it and it still worked only 1 year. The filters were expensive and the unit was very noisy Last year when it worked it worked well, but last winter it worked only half the time. I did not know where to turn.

Humidifier that actually humidifies
I have gone through quite a few humidifiers. I had one like this before, after a few years it gave in because I never cleaned it (shame on me). Then I tried a few ultrasonic (ultraexpensive) humidifiers, which really hardly bring the humidity up (I have a hygrometer). So I decided to buy this one again, and am as happy as with the first one. If you want your room to increase in humidity, forget about those ultrasonics and go for this one. Cheap and good.

Wood or Plastic, Who Cares?
Received this a few weeks ago. It was really easy to install--only took about 5 minutes. If you are unsure how to replace the brush you can download the user manual from Hoover.com. The procedure is easy even for a novice. The performance increase over the worn brush was immediately apparent. Our 15-year old vacuum cleaner works like new.

This brushroll appears to be made out of wood (it's kind of hard to tell), but who cares as long as it does the job? It feels very solid & well constructed. I expect it to last for years.

UPDATE: April 27, 2013. After one year of use this brush roller is still working perfectly. There is no sign of it wearing out or breaking. This was a good investment.

Black & Decker BDH1800SM Handheld Steamer

Versatile product that performs well
I have been using the Black & Decker handheld steamer for several weeks around the house for various cleaning chores. In general, I have found it be be a good performer. It comes with several attachments that make it useful for a great variety of activities.

PROS:

Makes steam fast: Within just a moment of turning on the power, the ready light turns blue, and the unit is ready to make steam when you press the button. Good performance here.

Holds a decent amount of water: I found during use that the steamer was capable of holding enough water for a solid 15 minutes of full-blast steaming.

Easy to fill: A fill port pops open for refilling the water.

Comes with storage bag: There are quite a few accessories included with the product, and it's nice that B&D includes a storage bag so that you can keep everything together.

Trigger safety: The trigger is a dual action design; you have to press upward to activate the safety...

It works, but there are some gripes on it's functionality.
I really wanted a hand steamer for my counters and non-floor surfaces ever since getting a steam mop and noting the excellent job it does on my floors with limited work on my part and no harsh chemicals.

This steamer works but there are some issues which make me not love it, and only like it.

Let me start out with the things I like first.

1. Compact size. Not heavy at all to carry around.
2. Lots of attachments for various types of jobs.
3. A bag to store said attachments.
4. Doesn't take too long for the "blue" ready light to turn on.
5. Nice long cord.

The things that could be better.

1. You always have to depress the trigger. There is no trigger lock so you have to hold the unit with one hand and operate with the other.
2. The bag to store attachments could be a little bigger. You really have to fight to get them all in.
3. The blue ready light is on fast HOWEVER when you start using it the full...

Holmes HAP424-U HEPA-Type Tower Air Purifier

Definitely cleans the air
I got this filter because I have cats and birds, and before I started using it, I always had a coating of "bird dust" on everything and was concerned about breathing it. I bought it in mid summer, and in early fall, I opened it up to see if the filters were "catching" anything, and sure enough, they were covered with a fine powdery silt, and then I realized that the bird dust that used to cover desks and other surfaces had almost disappeared since I had started using it. I was grateful to know that the machine had been doing its job. Whenever it was on, I did notice a subtle change in air quality...it seemed fresher. I have kept it running almost constantly for three months, and have not had any problems with it.

While it's working, I don't notice the sound that much, especially on the lower setting which is what I usually keep it on. It simply becomes "white noise". The higher setting is definitely louder, so if that's something that bothers a person, it should be...

If yours is LOUD - read this!
I read all of the reviews about it being excessively loud, but went ahead and bought 2 anyways (found a clearance sale on another site). Unpacked, unwrapped and plugged in...LOUD as you can be and just like the other reviewers mentioned.

So I unplugged it, got out my flashlight and did a little investigating. Shined the flashlight in the front vent (darker grey cover) towards the bottom. Inside you will see a black plastic wheel. I had a pair of tweezers and used those to turn the wheel (it goes easily around, no stripping of gears or anything like that). What did I find??? A small piece of black plastic (less than 1/4 inch) hanging on the edge of of one of the fins on the fan's wheel. It looked like where they manufactured the wheels, similar to a plastic model car kit (hope that makes sense). The people at Holmes apparently didn't do very good quality control on these and some slipped through with that sliver of plastic on the wheel. Pulled that piece off with...

I bought this machine due to my son being diagnosed with several allergies...dust, dust mites, mold, pollens etc. It seems a bit noisy, but nothing I cant get used to, and the air seems cleaner and fresher already!! I guess that means less housework when it comes time to dust..woohoo! Also, if you read consumer reports tells you how BAD the Ionic Breeze is for you, as it creates ozone, which is a toxic emission, that may clear odor, but can poison you as well...hmmm I think I will save my $ and stick with my HEPA filter from Holmes!!

Whirlpool WMH31017AW 1.7 Cu. Ft. White Over-the-Range Microwave

Very good for the price, with some reservations
I purchased and installed the WMH31017AB, the black version of this microwave. Pros: a major consumer magazine rates Whirlpool tops in reliability. At its price this is, as expected, a pretty basic microwave, but fulfills our needs. It heats well, is (in black) quite attractive, the microwave and fan are quiet, controls are convenient for basic operations. Cons: one of the installation templates is printed on the cardboard packaging, the edges of which shred when cut, making the template difficult to use accurately. The bolts supplied will not work in a deep cabinet and it took trips to four hardware stores to find longer replacements. The instructions did not include an option to hardwire the electrical connection, so I had to swallow hard and cut the cord without knowing what I'd find once I had (turned out not to be a problem). I exhausted through the wall, but there's an outlet for internal exhaust, and it opens upwards towards the ceiling. And I mean OPENS. There's no...

Think you get more if you pay more? Wrong!
You will not get a better microwave than this, unless you are determined to add features that you will never use. Duh! I was quoted a repair bill by GE service of $450 to fix my 11 year old GE microwave. The old one popped out and the new one was in within 45 minutes. Yes, it takes two people to do it and, yes, one of the two has to have a brain, (OK, it wasn't me, it was the other guy!) but this is no big deal.

This microwave was bought for a kitchen remodeling project. It was an easy installation and the exhaust fan is very effective.

Euro Cuisine WM520 Eco Friendly Heart Shaped Waffle Maker

I read on another website that this waffle maker had a ceramic coating, thus making it free of the toxic nonstick chemicals used on many brands. It claims to be PTFE and PFOA free, but the cooking surface does not appear to be ceramic coated. Nowhere on or in the packaging does it specify what it is coated with. It looks and feels like some form of plastic coating, rather than ceramic. If anyone has more information about this, please share. With such limited information, I'm inclined to return it.

UPDATE - I contacted EuroCuisine, the product's maker, to ask what it is coated with. Sadly, the company representative who responded indicated they don't know what it is coated with. (Makes you wonder how they can claim it is eco-friendly?) He said they would contact the factory in China that manufacturers the waffle maker in an attempt to find out what coating is used. Infinuvo CleanMate QQ-2 BASIC Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

Pretty Much What I Wanted And Just What I Wanted To Pay
We have three dogs and was looking for something to run a few times a week to keep hair under control. I will say right now that I think it is going to serve that purpose.

Decided to punish it and see what it could do with two to three weeks worth of dog hair. Took it out of the box, put the battery in and got about twenty minutes of cleaning time without charging the battery prior to use. In that amount of time this thing picked up a whole lot of hair. Also, got to see some of it's functions.

FUNCTIONS - Multiple cleaning patterns that it will rotate through or you can pick one and it will stay on it. It doesn't map out the room like the much more expensive models but I am more than okay with that. I am thinking I will turn in on random mode for 30-40 minutes and let it go. Then set it on "follow the wall" to finish up. Will have to experiment for a bit to see what works best. Some might see this as a downfall but I was not willing to pay $#00.00 more...

A real bargain, unbeatable for the price!
OK, first a short complaint about the roombas. Several years ago, I was in love with the concept of a roomba. So I bought one. The one I bought was a mid-level unit, at the time. The apartment we were living in at the time was mostly vinyl flooring, with a little bit of (short) shag carpet.
We set up and charged roomba according to instructions. Then we turned it loose to see what it would do. It seemed to do what it was supposed to for about five minutes. Then it just acted confused, going in random directions for a bit before it shut down with an error message. It wasn't "stuck" on anything, and the battery was almost fully charged still. We called roomba, and they concluded that it must be a bad battery. So they sent us a new battery. We charged the new battery, and tried again. Second try, roomba again ran for about 5 minutes, then acted crazy for a bit and shut down.
Called Roomba again, they sent us an entirely new robot. The replacement robot (and 2nd...

Probably as good as a Roomba
If you hate to vacuum like I do, then you might want to give this one a try.
From what I've read about the Roomba, the Cleanmate Basic seems no better no worse, and costs a lot less.

- At one month, it still has the same charging capability (~3.5 hours of charging to get 80 minutes or so of vacuuming.)
- It will get stuck under sagging sofas, so you'll need to prop them up somehow.
- Since I got the basic model, it doesn't have a dock. But I don't mind because I like to clean the dustbin/filter after each use. And I wouldn't want to keep the dock out in the open, anyway.
- At one month, it's still picking up some dog hair left by the previous tenant.
- It's just okay for edge cleaning. Probably better than the Neato.
- Yes, hair gets wound around the brush, which can easily be removed.
- Since I hate to vacuum, our place is certainly cleaner with the Cleanmate than without.

The magnet is strong, the tape is easy to read (although it notates the measurement on the tape, meaning at the 3/4 inch mark it is actually written on the tape "3/4". Some people, including myself, don't like this) and I've bounced it off many a concrete floor without any damage. My only complaint would be that the tape itself could support itself a little more when extended (it tends to flop more than I'd like).

It's not the worlds best tape measure, but it's certainly good enough.

Well, it measures
I am an electrician and this is (was) my first Klein tape measure. After two months of use I'd say the tape is satisfactory at best. Pros and cons based on my use:

Pros:
- The magnets are strong, strong enough to hold the tape in free-hang even
- Tape has measurements on both sides
- The body length (3.5") is marked on the back so you can set it flat and add to get the measurement if this appeals to you

Cons:
- Measuring tape has almost no stand-out. A coworker and I compared his 25ft Klein to my 30ft and I could repeatedly hit 7ft and his would go about 6.5ft. The tape itself is just flimsy and would often bend at only five and six feet which is extremely annoying and frustrating.
- While they didn't detach, the magnets loosened enough to spin around on the foot which was a little off-putting.
- This tape is large and heavy. granted I knew I was buying a 30ft tape so I should have known what I was getting into but I didn't like...

Best tape measure ever
This Klein tape measure is durable and I use the magnetic tip just about every time I pull it out. The handy measuring marks on the bottom takes the cake. I will buy this again.

BestAirPro Replacement for Aprilaire # 201 Filter, 2-Pack

Misleading Product Information
These are 5" filters. This is not stated in the product information. Aprilaire/SpaceGuard filters are 6" filters. While these will fit into the filter box, they will not last as long because there is less filter media. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, they are not as well constructed. Next time, I'll spend a little more for the OEM product.

Just as planned
How can a third party offer a part for less than the OEM? No idea, but this was far cheaper and had much better performance specs. Great deal.

Misleading Info on top of page
The info presented near the top of the page to describe this filter is misleading. It clearly says on the second bullet point that this product has a MERV rating of 11 which is very good for a home filter. However, when the box came with the filters, it says on the box that the MERV rating was an 8. That is a poor quality filter for home use. However, when I returned to the Amazon page and scrolled to the very bottom, there is a line about it being rated a MERV 8. This is like a bait and switch. No wonder the price is reasonable.

Hoover HOOVER 38765019 SECONDARY FILTER

Not genuine Hoover product
Despite being marketed as such, this is NOT a genuine Hoover product replacement. It was a knock-off instead of the real deal.

Not even close to worth the price.
These filters look like scraps cut from upholstery cotton. They have no green layer like the stock filter. I really feel as if I was ripped off.

It works.
I've had my hoover vacuum for 12 years and needed to replace the secondary filter. This filter fits fine and seems to do what its made to do. It was the best and most convenient option that I've found.

Filtrete Home Odor Reduction Filter, 20-Inch by 30-Inch by 1-Inch, 4-Pack

Filtrete- Always The Better Choice
Wouldn't it be nice if a furnace filter freshened the air in your whole house? Well, I like this filter but I can't claim that my home smells any better than it did.

I switched to the Filtrete brand of filters years ago when I discovered how much better they worked than the cheapie, flimsy filters you can buy anywhere. Maybe my house is excessively dusty, I have to change the filter at the six week mark. I couldn't get the whole promised three months between replacements. But that's a small quibble to get better filtering.

So I expected this filter to perform as well as, if not better than the mid-priced Filtretes I normally use. And it did, maybe even slightly better as far as dust is concerned. Be advised- when I removed the plastic wrapper a small amount of what I presume is charcoal leaked onto the floor. So, do unwrap outside or expect to vacuum afterwards.

I would be happy to recommend this filter to my friends, even if it doesn't work miracles.

It broke the air conditioner capacitor after 48 hours
We replaced our usual inexpensive filter in the furnace/blower with this on Tuesday. Today is Thursday, and the repair man has just left. The capacitor on our air conditioner blew out today, and at first he suspected an overly-clogged furnace filter, but saw it was this Filtrete Odor Reduction filter instead. He was very nice about it, since at first he thought our warranty did not cover the repair because this was considered "our fault" for using an inappropriate filter. But I had the product label which indicated it should be perfectly safe for our system. It was not, obviously. He didn't charge us (yet) and took the label with him to have the repair company check into it tomorrow during business hours. If he calls back I'll update this review with what he says.

We have a small house, 1000 square feet. The furnace is a 1996 Lennox WhisperHeat, and the air conditioner is a 2010 Amana rated for houses of 1400 square feet or less. Both were serviced within the last year...

nice filter
I live on a farm so there is a lot of dust and "odors" that come with that lifestyle. I really liked the difference this filter made, especially now during the summer when we are shut up with A/C going nonstop.

Deluxe 4oz Black Popcorn Maker Machine by Paramount - New 4 oz Theater Popper

Best Popcorn Machine!
I purchased this popcorn machine for my movie room. After paying for regular shipping, it took only three days to be delivered to my door step which was a huge shock! Once I opened the box, it took 5min to pull out and set up. I popped my very first batch of popcorn within 15min of opening the box. This machine is extremely easy to use, and the clean up is just as simple. Once popcorn was all eaten, I used a warm wet rag to wipe everything down and it was back to looking new! I use the Great American popcorn found here on Amazon, and all my family and friends agree that this popcorn maker is #1 and so is the popcorn!

My own movie theater popcorn
I finally have popcorn as good as the movie theater as long as I use their secret ingredient coconut oil. Even the regular popcorn oils and peanut oils taste great in this popcorn popper. My only negative is the small compartment to catch the popcorn. It's o for standard family of hubby, wifey, two crumb snatchers. But for a larger gathering I will need something larger or at least two of these units. But remember, this is a great popcorn popper.

Wine Enthusiast Silent 12 Bottle Wine Refrigerator (Stainless Steel)

Works great, noticeable noise
We've had this cooler for about two years now and it has performed wonderfully.

It does produce a noticeable noise when running, so I don't think it's suitable for use in a common area. At first we had it near our entertainment area, but the noise it made while running became annoying during cards, conversation or while watching TV. It does not accommodate larger bottles, so some of the taller bottles will have to find a home elsewhere.

UPDATE 7/20/13: We've now had this for almost 5 years and it's starting to show its age. Condensation forms on the bottom tray and has to be wiped out on a regular basis - otherwise water will come out with the bottom bottles when extracted. It doesn't seem to be able to maintain temperature below 58 degrees at an ambient of 75. I've done all the maintenance I can like cleaning the heat exchanger fins. At an average cost of around $35/yr I don't think I'll be buying another.

Quiet, functional, efficient
We've had this running for a couple of months now. Runs like a champ. Silent, cools to the target temp quickly, light is actually bright enough to be useful. As noted in the description, larger-diameter bottles don't fit easily on the racks. This is our 3rd wine fridge, and that was the case for all 3. My approach with this Wine Enthusiast model was simply to remove the bottom wire shelf (no need for tools -- just pull it out and stow it in a drawer). That allows you to fit four big bottles on the bottom row easily, allowing you to still have a total of up to 12 bottles in the fridge. If you want to cool more than 4 big bottles simultaneously, only then will you need to pull an additional wire shelf.

One Drawback
Just received my Silent 12 Wine Refrigerator and for the most part I am very pleased. Solid, good size, runs quietly and well priced. My only complaint is that not all wine bottles fit into it. Take for example Kendall- Jackson's Chardonnay. The bottom circumference is too big to fit. The only way it can fit in is if you take out the middle shelf. Not a big issue, but something for Wine Enthusiast's engineers to consider. To solve the problem I simple drank that bottle first. Other than that I think the Refrigerator is great. George S - NYC

Extremely Impressed
I'm extremely impressed with this unit. It is very quiet, super build quality, modern touch screen panel. I bought two of these for different homes. Probably the best bang for you buck when it comes to a range hood.

Extremely disappointed...
Yes, I know that the title of my review is "Extremely disappointed." However, it's not because I'm disappointed in this product.. I'm disappointed that I bought it AFTER I wasted my money on my previous range hood (Whirlpool 30-in Wall-Mount). This unit is so aesthetically pleasing that it draws you into interest at first sight; but that's just the icing on the cake. Functionality is the real kicker.

Pros:

1) Extremely sturdy
2) Quiet
3) More modernized touch screen panel (unlike the Whirlpool)
4) Stainless steel body without sight of any welding seams (may not matter to some.. but I love the look of clean lines)
5) Quiet (yes, I know I said it twice) (more than the Whirlpool)
6) The ventless operation is very helpful/useful (and they throw it in for you)(unlike the Whirlpool)
7) The settings are distinguishable by ventilation; however, sound-wise, you can hardly tell the difference in loudness.
8) LED lighting (once again...

I thought it was copper color
am I crazy but the picture looks copper color, so I thought how unusual ! I love it. It arrived and its stainless steel. Well the price was right But we havent put it up yet, the last review before this one IS VERY HELPFUL. It will save a lot of screaming and swearing by my husband. LOL

Haan Steam Scents - 3 Pack

Maison Drake is a good company
Even though there were some mix ups, the company was very kind, helpful, and generous in refunding a portion of the selling price due to a mailing error. The scents themselves don't really work as directed on the pkg., which is not a reflection on the seller but on the manufacturer. I found if you put the scent directly into the water, when it steams the scent is quite strong and lasts longer.

I ordered the combo pack. I've tried all three scents none of the really gave much sent..Maybe this will work with a couple more drops.

Scent needs to be stronger
You definitely have to use more than a "few" drops as instructed, but overall the scent will linger for a little while. I like it because I have pets, so the smell is a clean one when done.

Blendtec Professional Blender, WildSide / FourSide Jars - Black

Super awesome Blender
Its the strongest best blender I've ever owned. Had a mild funny smell in the beginning use, but went away. I know most electric have that in the beginning. Great product and I've been using it at least once a day since I got it. I don't think I'm going to ever stop or slow down using it like other blender, it just works too good..

Great Blender!!!!
The Blendtec Blender is a great appliance!!! I make a smoothie of fruit (grapes, banana, strawberries, raspberries and peaches) with spinach and kale, each morning. Usually one or more of the fruits I use is frozen to make the smoothie cold and thick. The Blendtec doesn't even hesitate when the frozen fruit is added.
I haven't used this blender for anything but smoothies yet because I have been so busy but the day is coming when I will really be putting it to the test and I have no doubt it will do just fine.
I love the WideSide jar haven't used the regular jar yet.

Worth every penny
I mulled this purchase over for weeks before I finally took the plunge. I'm so thrilled that I did! This blender puts my old one to shame. The clean up is a breeze, no taking it apart! Just a little warm water and soap; pulse for 10 seconds and rinse. That's it! The icon buttons make this goof proof, just select the icon (soup,smoothie,juice, etc.) for what you're making and the blender does the rest. No pushing food back down or scraping the sides. And compared to a standard blender, the processing time is cut by at least 75%. The other thing I LOVE is that the containers weight almost nothing and are much easier to handle than thick glass containers. I've gone from using a blender 1-2 times a week, to at least 5 days a week. I use it on my countertop and store it underneath, but this motor can be mounted under a counter (just like in the smoothie restaurants) if you're really committed.

the product worked fine but the way they were shipped wasn't. the package was ripped and the boxes inside were torn, it's a wonder that the filters were still useable.

Aqua Perfect!
I had no issues with this water filter for my Samsung Fridge. It installed perfectly. It operated perfect. The taste is good. Not much more to say! I recommend this filter!

Works fine and much less expensive than the OEM filter
Not much to report here -- the filters fit perfectly, don't leak, and the water tastes fine as well. No complaints here, and five stars for saving me a few bucks.
