AE-Select IG10016 OVEN IGNITER REPAIR PART FOR GE, AMANA, HOTPOINT, MAYTAG, ELECTROLUX, FRIGIDAIRE, WHIRLPOOL AND KENMORE

Oh Yeah...Hot Oven!!!
Bought this for a friend who was sold the wrong igniter. Easy to install. Took me about 15 minutes. Who are the people on here that complain about having to cut and splice the wires? If you bought the one with the connectors, it would probably cost you three times as much as this "universal" igniter, thus the deep discount. Just get the darn thing, cut the wires on the old igniter and put it on your stove. You won't go wrong. The oven fired right up. I might add that when your oven doesn't fire up but the igniter still glows, it's usually because the igniter isn't drawing enough amps. Borrow what is called a "wraparound" or clamp amp meter if you don't own one and measure the amperage to the old igniter. It should measure between 3.2 and 3.6 amps for this (flat) style igniter. Any less and it's almost certainly the igniter gone bad. Any...

STOVE IS BACK AND WORKING! THANK YOU!!!!!
STOVE IS BACK AND WORKING! THANK YOU!!!!! It took 7 mins to complete the instillation. I happen to call a tech and told me that it would cost 89.00 just to diagnose the problem. The purchase on amazon was under 32.00. Talk about economic.......

Works for me
The ignitor is pictured with connectors, but it is in my case with bare wires, without any connectors except porcelain wire nuts. So I cut connectors from old one and connected them to this one. Takes a couple of minutes and some basic tools. The ignitor is Electrolux brand in original box with short manual. Works perfect. Pretty fast delivery and right now even cheaper - I paid around $22. Happy - what else do we need?
